Sony recently introduced the Cyber-shot DSC-G1 digital camera, which is Sony’s first camera with wireless capabilities. On the rear of the camera there is a large 3.5” display screen with 921,000 pixel resolution. The main attraction about this new camera is its wireless capabilities. With just a touch of a button you can instantly and wirelessly send your photos to a DNLA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatible PC or another camera to share with friends and family.
There really no need for a memory card with its large 2GB internal memory capacity. It can store up to 7,500 lower quality photos or 600 6 megapixel photos. If additional storage is necessary, you can always pick up a Memory Stick PRO Duo which is now available in up to 8GB capacities. The DSC-G1 also offers many other features that are available on other Cybershot cameras, such as Sony’s Super Steady Shot, to give users great clarity in their captured high quality images. The Cybershot DSC-G1 is expected to ship in April and will be available for purchase at a MSRP of $600.
