DiBcom Announces World's First DVB-SH Receiver
You know how we always describe a handset as being 1-Seg capable when it has a TV tuner? Well, DiBcom announces the world's first DVB-SH receiver so we can also watch satellite/terrestrial mobile TV like the Japanese can. Being DVB-SH (Digital Video Broadcasting from Satellite to Handhelds) compliant means the receiver is compatible with higher bands of DVB-H such as the S-band. This chip named DIB29098, is the first one that can support dual antennae on a single chip (Diversity-2). It will be showcased on the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
