well i bought dell studio 1555 and after 10 days i sold it it has many cons. first of all it is heavy not ligght weight secondly for closing any file u have to press fn key+alt+f4 . no remote. it has purpish color and keypad is not good. well in my opinion if u want a sleek, high performance and stunning laptop go for XPS m1530.

Anyone have any word on US availability? It’s been nearly 2 months since Asia/Pacific release! I do see that Dell has a product safety datasheet showing US certifications (FCC Class B, etc.) at http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/corporate/environ/comply/studio_1555.pdf. I’d hate to order a Studio 15 and a week later find out that the model is obsolete.

i recently bought a Dell studio 1555, i have been using it for 10 days now and just yeterday i installed tom clancy’s HAWX on it, after 5 minutes of playing the game it froze (crashed) and the screen turned from white to purple to other colours untill it went back to white… i thought it was the game so i tried playing COD 4, COD 5, Rainbow six V2, GRAW 2 and Far cry 2……they all run smoothly on high/medium graphics settings……but after a couple of minutes like 4 or 5 it crashes and the screen goes white…apparently i am not the only one with this problem!! SO sam i would check the laptop thoroughly if i were u, try running high performance games on them and see if ur system hangs!

The Dell Studio 1555 is great. i got it yesterday and its everything i wanted. the screen is awesome and the dell bot is prett kool. i got the 9 cell battery and i got 5 - 6 hour battery life when fully charged. i’m really excited about mine because i would have to be one of the first to get it in Australia and theres really no reviews on it yet.
