Dell E Series
Here’s a laptop line I have been expecting for a while now. Sure there are enough Eees, MSIs, Acers, HPs and more mini laptops competing out there. Everyone want to be the smallest, slimmest, best looking and most reliable. All of that for the cheapest price. And Dell is known for offering some cheap solutions to all our needs. Their E series is out there with quite a few models.

Let’s go inspecting this E babies.
The Dell E will be a 8.9 inch mininotebook packing an 1.6Ghz Diamondville CPU, with 4, 8 or 16GB flash memory and 512MB or 1GB of RAM. There’s Wi-Fi 802.11g and the Dell E will have three versions: Dell E Classic, Dell E Video and the Dell E Video+.

Think we’re done? There’s a Dell E Slim series. Bigger than the regular E, the E Slim will go head to head with the Air, the Lenovo X300 or Voodoo’s Envy 133. The E Slims will feature a 12.1 inch display with a
1.3 or 1.6GHz Intel Silverthorne CPU, a choice of 8GB of flash memory or a 40GB hard drive, a choice of 1GB or 2GB of RAM, and the regular Wi-Fi 802.11g, extra WiMax and a 0.3-megapixel webcam.

Not ready to make up your mind? Well you have until late August or September to figure it out. Pricing will start at $299, but we’ll keep you posted.
