Comprised of a family of six different creatures, MoPods are charms for your mobile phones. These accessories are interconnected to the virtual world, Moshi Monsters, wherein you can play puzzles as well as feed your pet. They have their own receivers which could detect passing signals. Hence, every time you receive an incoming call or text message, the MoPods’ LED lights blink, while the creature inside spins. Apparently, expect lots of hits and misses because the MoPod catches a variety of signals, walkie-talkies and microwaves included. The charms are sold for $10 a pop in Firebox.com among a range of other retail outlets.
