CTIA sues San Francisco over cell phone radiation ratings

They are having a trade show in San Francisco come October, and SF has some law that says that cell phone retailers have to display the SAR rating. This is the amount of RF energy makes it from the headset to the user’s body.

Since it hasn’t been proven whether or not cell phone radiation is harmful or not, CTIA believes that the SAR rating would just confuse the average user. To be honest, this is the first time I have heard of this rating.

Well, we’ll see how this one plays out.
