Creative Xdock for iPod

Creative has a new accessory for your Xdock , it uses Creative’s X-Fi technology to deliver better-than-CD audio quality. At the center of the Xdock is a dock (d’oh!) to connect your iPod. The Xdock features play/pause, next/previous buttons, a volume control knob and the all-essential power button. It comes with its own remote control as well, with a range of about 9.8 feet.

Creative generously provides five different Dock adapters, each to fit a different iPod. There are several X-Fi enhancements for superior audio quality, including:

X-Fi CMSS-3D Virtual: immersive surround sound with you connect the Xdock with your hi-fi system
X-Fi CMSS-3D Headphone: when connected to your headphones
X-Fi CMSS-3D Surround: lets you create multichannel surround sound from stereo sources

You can even transfer music from iTunes. Simply plug the Xdock to your computer’s USB port (cable to be purchased separately) and sync as usual. No word on the pricing or availability yet.
