Zoran Quatro 4100 Processor

Zoran Corporation announced that their processor, the Quatro 4100, is now being used in Samsung's new sublimation photo printers, the SPP-2020 and SPP-2040 (shipping now in the US). The Quatro 4100 is a fully programmable processor, providing high performance that is demanded by today's photo printers.

Thanks to the high quality image processing of Quatro 4100, both the SPP-2020 and SPP-2040 deliver very high quality 4"x6" prints comparable with silver halide prints. Print speeds are in the range of 60 seconds. Both printers also provide USB printing and USB PictBridge.

Quatro 4100 has been designed keeping in mind the demands of consumer dye-sublimation printers. It is a cost-effective solution to build feature-rich yet low-cost printers. The Quatro 4100 is also geared for applications that require PC-free functions like inkjet/laser MFPs and direct-connect photo printers with USB/mem card interfaces.
