SanDisk 4GB iNAND Flash Storage Device

SanDisk 4GB iNAND Flash Storage Device SanDisk newly launched iNAND, a 4GB flash storage device, aimed at being a less power-hungry alternate solution to storage as compared to micro hard drives. Flash is already the preferred media for a wide range of consumer electronics, from MP3 players to digital cameras to mobile phones.

The micro hard drive suffers from high power requirements - meaning your device's battery will be draining faster than you can say "abracadabra" backwards. But flash technology requires lesser battery power. Add to this the fact that the cost-per-MB has been steadily decreasing, and the iNAND would be a clear fit in the current market requirement.

At speeds of 5 MB/sec (write) and 9 MB/sec (read), expect iNAND to be a hit in the mobile market. And the dimensions? An unbelievable 12 x 18 x 1.4 millimeters.
