Samsung 40GB HM040HI Hard Disk Drive
Looking for that SATA drive for your notebook? Look no further: Samsung has launched the new 2.5" Serial ATA hard drives meeting the needs of notebook users. Branded the M40S series, Samsung is offering the drives in three capacities: 40GB (HM040HI), 60GB and 80GB.
Packed with high-performance features such as 8MB on-board data cache and 5400rpm spindle speed, the power consumption rates are very competitive. Reliable shock-proof technology ensures that shock intensity is minimized on the drive's critical components. A Fluid Dynamic Bearing motor helps the M40S series cut down on the acoustic noice levels.
Notebook users can now enjoy the raw performance levels of SATA drives while the drives can also be used in the latest Blade servers that require drives in smaller form factors.
