Memorex has announced a new USB 2.0 flash drive called the Memorex TravelDrive ID to its existing lineup of flash drives. The TravelDrive ID comes in capacities ranging from 512MB to 2GB and come with a unique SSC LCD display capable of displaying up to 13 characters.

Why a display you might ask? The Memorex TravelDrive ID allows users to apply a label to their USB flash drives similar to how one would label a DVD/CD or even a floppy disk. A label is particularly useful if you own multiple flash drives and you're just not sure what are on the drives. The LCD screen also shows how much disk space is left on the drive which is always a useful feature.

The Memorex TravelDrive ID also feature Memorex's signature ergonomic designs including a easy grip area at the end of the drive, a contoured cap and a blue wrap around LED indicator. The drives will be available next month and will cost $79.99 for the 512MB, $119.99 for the 1GB, and $199.99 for the 2GB.
