Comcast Launches IP-Enabled Phone Service in Colorado Springs
Comcast, the nation's leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, announced today the launch of Comcast Digital Voice in Colorado Springs. Customers can now experience digital quality phone service, unlimited direct-dial local and domestic long-distance calling, Web access to voicemail and E911 service with this new IP-enabled voice service. Furthermore, it also offers 12 of the most popular calling features such as three-way calling, call waiting, caller ID, speed dial and enhanced voicemail.
The service will act as a replacement for customers' traditional telephone service which is less expensive, fully featured and with online services.
Customers though can keep their current phone numbers and make and receive an unlimited amount of direct-dial local and domestic long-distance calls for an introductory rate of as little as $39.95 per month.
Comcast Digital Voice customers will also receive innovative features including:
-- Compatibility with a majority of home alarm systems
-- Ability to manage their account online
-- And, coming soon, customers who have Comcast Digital Voice and Comcast
High-Speed Internet will have the ability to use the Digital Voice
Center (Web portal) to manage their voice and email messages from one
central location.
Comcast Digital Voice is currently available in more than 70 markets nationwide, reaching 38 million homes. Comcast is one of the largest cable telephone providers in the United States, with more than three million phone customers.
