Citrix Receiver’s XenDesktop can run Windows 7 on the iPadBy Mark Rollins - 02/03/2010 3:52:01 PM |
Look out, Apple, because Citrix Systems claims that it can help iPad users set up a virtual installation of Windows 7. According to Chris Fleck, Citrix Systems’ VP of Community and Solutions Development, says that the iPad is great for XenDesktop, the company’s desktp virtualization platforms.
Granted, Windows 7 can’t be directly installed onto the iPad, but it can run Windos from a server and then display it on the iPad. At least users will be able to run multiple applications at once, the bane of Apple.
We’ll see if Citrix Systems XenDesktop app becomes a standard for iPad users. There’s always the ExoPC Slate.
