Cingular 8525 Pocket PC Gets New Features, New Name
The popular Cingular 8525 gets upgraded and re-branded to the AT&T 8525 Pocked PC. It includes the same features from when the phone was launched last year. The phone include a full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, infrared, 2MP camera w/ video recording capabilities, Windows Media Player 10, and Windows mobile 5.0 with Direct Push Technology. Getting an upgrade, the 8525 now recives AT&T Push To Talk Functionality, as well as the latest multimedia and video services.
With the phone, users have access to many wonderful features AT&T has to offer. Services include XM Satellite Mobile Radio, which provide easy access to enjoyable, commercial free music available on 25 music channels. With the AT&T Mobile Music, users can access a one-stop-shop for downloads of full-track songs, music videos, ringtones, music news, MusicID, music chat rooms, and plenty more. Also featured on the 8525 is AT&T's Cellular Video on-demand streaming service for a extensive collection video clips from tv shows, sports, news, weather, and premium content from World Wrestling Entertainment and HBO programs including hit shows "The Sopranos," "Entourage," "Sex and the City," and "Curb Your Enthusiasm”.
For users of an existing Cingular 8525, a software upgrade can be downloaded to receive the same software upgrades as the AT&T 8525. Also, later on this year the AT&T 8525 upgradeable to the latest version of Windows Mobile 6.
