Cincinnati shifts operations into high gear with the launch of the Blackberry Curve 8900 and Blackberry Pearl Flip 8820 smartphones from RIM in their phone lineup. The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is the thinnest and lightest full-QWERTY BlackBerry handset in the market today, and the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 is the first smartphone in RIM’s portfolio to come in the popular flip form.
Both smartphones feature advanced multimedia and communication capabilities including built-in Wi-Fi, which is compatible with Cincinnati Bell’s Fusion WiFi service.
“Consumer demand for style, function, and ease of use in smartphones continues to gain momentum, and the sleek, powerful BlackBerry Curve 8900 and BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 offer winning combinations on all fronts,” said Tim Bracken, director of consumer wireless for Cincinnati Bell. “We are excited to offer these best-in-class BlackBerry smartphones and believe they will appeal to a broad range of customers.”

Yeah it’s great that Cincinnati Bell Wireless is the first carrier launching the New Nokia 5800. But wait until you get the wireless and data services from them. It’s terrible. You won’t be able to send MMS messages, you will only be able to send messages within the Cincinnati/Dayton coverage area, you won’t receive text messages, the call quality is very poor, and there is always some part of their network not working-such as the network is busy, text messaging isn’t working, voice mails aren’t being received, etc. This is an EVERYDAY ocurrence! Avoid them. The phone might be nice, but the network it will be on will give you nothing but problems. I know because I had Blackberry service with them. The Wi-Fi network is always going down as well.
