Cheapest Laptop in the World, the Alibaba NPX-9000By Chris - 07/21/2008 6:23:25 PM |

Well sports’ fans everywhere, I don’t think you might have seen this one coming. The Alibaba NPX-9000 is the world’s cheapest laptop so far, overthrowing the Eee 701. You can have one for just $130 as long as you are willing to order 50 of those. Or you can simply go ahead and order 5 MacBooks as we speak.
Don’t expect performance either for that price. You get the 7 inch display, 1GB of flash memory, 128MB RAM, a 400MHz MIPS processor, an SD card slot and two USB slots. Better get that Windows 98 out of the closet. It will surely be the most appropriate OS. Or go Linux on this one. Who knows what can happen. I wonder if it can load up MobileWhack on a sunny day.
