I have an almost unbroken rule of not answering to phone calls from numbers I don't recognize or haven't added them to my phonebook yet. Same policy applies times two every time someone is trying to get in touch with me but blocks their number sending feature. I did miss a few calls that way, which I shouldn't. but I managed to adjust. What I wasn't able to block were the SMS messages. Of course you don't have to respond to all those messages but then again, it's human nature to react and text back.

Good thing T-Mobile has decided, after being sued and loosing a case in court over some messages, that their subscribers will have now the opportunity of blocking all unwanted messages and calls from certain people. What people? Your boss? Mother in law? Crazy-b**** ex girlfriend? Regular pranksters? Anyone! The sky is the limit. Way to go T-Mobile!

Sony Ericsson has released another phone into the Japanese market. Here is a brief introduction to the Sony Ericsson W62S Phone.

The Sony Ericsson W62S Phone is a global roaming clamshell phone. Its features include a 2-megapixel camera, WQVGA (432×240) screen, and microSD slot. It also comes in with three stylish colors, namely the Silver-Leather, Black-Rose and White-Lime.

LG has unveiled 3G version L852i of their PRADA cell phone in Japan. It seems like LG is trying to compete with Apple. The latest L852i PRADA phone will appear for sale from June 2008 at NTT DoCoMo.

Some time back we told you about Nokia's plan of bringing forward an iPhone Killer called as 'Tube'. As per hearsay, it has now been codenamed 'the iperformer'. Why have these guys have used 'i'? They are cheaters. I don't like this stealing of names. Well, nothing much is known about the phone. As far as specs are concerned, it will be equipped with NaviScroll, QWERTY keypad, TV out, GPS, FM transmitter, widescreen touchscreen, WiFi, FM radio, Bluetooth, and a Web cam. When it will appear and at what price is not known yet. But we can expect the best from Nokia. At least, it will be better than the LG Vu and Xperia.

LG Electronics, one of the world's leading mobile phone manufacturer, has announced several handsets to be launched in India. The handsets include the LG KF510 and LG KP320 phone.

The LG KF510 features a 10.9mm slim phone that supports MP3, MPEG-4 player, FM radio, GPRS, EDGE and can record and play back QVGA video. Aside from this, the phone also has a 3 megapixel auto focus flash camera, image stabilization and red eye reduction. The phone is also equipped with a touch sensitive navigational keypad.

The second phone to be released is the LG KP320 which is part of LG's Dynamite series. It comes equipped with a 3 megapixel camera and auto focus, the phone supports video-recording and high internal memory with TV out feature. The KP320 measures about 107 x 46 x 13.5 millimeters and weighing only 81 grams. It has a 2 inch TFT display with 262k colors support, music and video player, FM radio and Bluetooth.

LG KF510, LG KP320 will be available at Rs 12,250 and Rs 7,990 respectively.

The clamshell phone comes in with different colors namely: grey, purple, and pink. Just this morning, Vodafone announced a minor development in its day to day business. The news? They just signed with Apple to sell the iPhone in ten markets. How insignificant is that? The market includes key places like Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy. This is a big breakthrough as these countries have been waiting for the hyped Apple device for a long time now ever since it was released June last year.

Other places covered by Vodafone is India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey. The phone is expected to arrive late this year and as expected, will be a big hit on the said countries.

The Pantech C610 Cell Phone has been approved by the FCC. Because this cell phone bears a prefix C, it can be concluded that it has been devised for the AT&T. Airis has released the T482, a PDA GPS phone that is advertised as a phone with CoPilot Live, developed by ALK Technologies. The T482, as mentioned, is a PDA with quadband GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), GPRS and EDGE, and runs on a Marvell PXA270 processor at 416MHz.

In addition, the T482, has a second processor, a Philips Grangonfly SS6120. I really don't know what this second processor is for but it would have to be doing some strenous calculations if it needs a second one. The T482, will come in with 128MB of ROM and 64MB of RAM. It is very light weighing only 165 grams and measuring 125×62x14 mm.

Other features include a 3.2″ QVGA screen, 2MP digital camera, FM Tuner, and microSD card extension slot. The integrated GPS receiver chip is SiRFStar III, the other two antennas are for bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
