Nokia and T-Mobile have announced today a plan for future collaboration. Their goal is to accelerate the implementation and further use of internet applications on mobile devices. T-Mobile's customers will benefit from Nokia's Ovi portal for apps, music, games, maps and more while Nokia will customize their services for T-Mobile.
This partnership will generate new widgets, more web applications and will possibly lead to a better integration of a social networking like T-Mobile's My Faves. Nokia has signed similar deals with carriers like Telefonica, Vodafone and Orange and so it was just a matter of time until they got an agreement with T-Mobile. With iPhone breathing down their neck, Nokia will have to further develop their phones related applications and getting such partnerships with more carriers seems the smart way to do it.
