Rumored: Asus Eee PC to Go to 11 Inch

|

Asus have created the Eee PC, a laptop designed to be highly portable, useful and cheap. Although I'd see the Eee as backup to any real computer or notebook I'd own, I have to admit it's a very interesting and challenging concept.

After the 7 inch version they have released the Eee PC 900 and it's rumored they are getting ready to launch an 11 inch version of this bestseller laptop by the end of this year. We don't have any details but I am certain they will have tp add extra features to make it a decent competitor of laptops like the Lenovo IdeaPad U110 I showed you before.

I am also interested in what the new Eee will go for. Instead of the 9 inch you'd be better off with any 15 inch laptop for the same price. The 11 inch Eee PC will be even higher priced I am sure, and I predict you could be way better off with a 15 inch Asus laptop instead. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

I wonder how the announced Eee TV (E-TV), Eee desktop (E-DT), and Eee monitor are going to be like and if Eee will become a stronger and more envied brand.

Hot Hot Hot: Lenovo's IdeaPad U110 Available

That's right fox you heard me right. If you are from the USA and you have been waiting for the LenovoIdeaPad U110 than wait time is over. 29th of April (tomorrow) is the day you can actually order it. This 11 inch laptop is priced at $1,899, which is a little high I must admit, but nonetheless a good deal for the fans. Or should they get the Macbook Air?

What you get for that price is at least (Lenovo hasn't announced all the specs yet):
a 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo L7500 processor,
a 3GB of RAM,
a 120GB hard drive,
an 11 inch WXGA display,
a weight of 2.3lbs,
a 0.7 inch thickness.

What you don't get with the U110 is an optical drive. We don't do need those drives so won't we'll have to buy the external versions.
Check out the video.

USB_Drive_Torch.jpgIn preparation for the upcoming 2008 Olympics to be hosted in Beijing China, Lenovo, the third largest personal computer manufacturer in the world, after Hewlett-Packard and Dell of the US, has released a new USB Flash Drive with a very peculiar design - a tribute to the upcoming Olympics.

Memorabilia will be much sort after, as the Olympics will be held for the first time in Beijing China. Amid all the controversies, let us all hope that the event will go on without a hitch. The USB drive is targeted for the China market.
