Dell is one of the largest mid-range laptop sellers. They offer cheap, affordable solutions to everyone looking for a laptop. Their systems are competitive and dependable but if you want more out of your notebook then I am sure you have already thought about buying an Apple right?

But Dell is on the lookout and they must know what people are waiting for. So looking at the leaked picture above I can't help but thinking, are they just trying to impress or is this real? The new Dell Inspirons called 1435,1535 and 1735 are going to hit the stores May 26 (1535 ) and June 9th (1735) and October (1435). They are supposed to be thinner then usual Inspirons and therefore not so heavy. And thrust me, they were heavy! Are they going for the slick Macbook Pro look? Are they going to bring up performance as well?

Besides the 1-1.5 inch "upgrade", Dell is going to throw in slot-loading (Blu-ray) drives, 3G options and processors running up to Core 2 Duo T5850 2.16GHz. Dell suddenly appears more attractive to me. Unfortunatelly they still run Windows Vista XP.

A Dell laptop is possibly one of the best deals available worldwide. Not only are they dependable but they are also fairly cheap making them always a good pick.

The recently announced Dell Vostro 1310 and 1510 are now available for sale in the US market with the 1710 model to be accound in the future. They will be available in stores and they should already be ready to be purchased through their online store. They are quite portable and really affordable with the 1310 starting from $749 and the 1510 starting from $599. And they can deliver the expected quality we need when working on the go.

They are customizable of course and you'd be interested to know you can pack an Intel CPU up to a Core 2 Duos with RAM upgradeable to 4GB and hard disk drives ranging from 80GB to 250GB. Other more interesting feature include fingerprint readers, TPM (Trusted Platform Module) 1.2 module, cable lock slot and factory-installed security software. There's no trialware preinstalled and you can opt in for either a Windows Vista OS or the more reliable Windows XP. Dell to Launch Environment Friendly PC

|

I am on an environmental writing spree today and after telling you all about the new Credo accessories I simply have to show you what Dell has in store for its buyers. The picture above is the eco-friendly PC which is said to be 70% less energy consumer and 81% smaller than a mini tower Dell PC (but bigger than the Asus EEE). Michael Dell says about it: "These are important issues. When you think about our industry, we produce 260 million computers a year. There's a responsibility that comes with that."

It's only logical for Dell to invest more and more in electronics, specifically in laptops and desktops, meant to reduce overall energy consumption. Further more whether you own one of their products or not, you can be part of this ecological movement by joining one of their programs: "Plant a Tree for Me" (for private buyers) or "Plant a Forest for Me," (for companies).
