ASUS EeePC 701

asuseeepc.jpg ASUS announced today their latest innovation, the EeePC 701 computer featuring ultra mobile capabilities. The EeePC is a part of ASUS’ new line of computers that focus on providing users with the most comprehensive Internet application based on the three Es: Easy to learn, work, play; Excellent internet experience; and Excellent mobile computing experience. The three Es are how the EeePC got it’s name.

It runs off Linux, but is Windows XP compatible, and has nice extra features such as a built-in video camera and hi-definition audio. It’s small and cute, and I’d love to pack one of these along to take to work or anywhere I’m out and about. For its portability and convenience, the 7-inch screen is plenty big enough. Unfortunately, the price has not yet been revealed, which could be a deciding factor for many.
