For people with mobile phones that run on the Windows platform, here is the latest software brought to you by Spb Software. Spb Software has released Spb Mobile Shell 3.0, the next-generation user interface for Windows phones.
According to Handango Yardstick, Spb Mobile Shell was the world’s number one bestselling application of 2008 among all mobile platforms.
Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 accounts for two different smartphone use scenarios: at work and at play. The application offers distinctive ‘professional’ and ‘lifestyle’ desktops, integration of picture contacts with Facebook, account-sensitive email indicators, handsome time and weather screens, widgets, responsive kinetic scrolling, signature 3D animation engine, and other appealing assets that change the way a Windows phone is used altogether.
Previous versions of Spb Mobile Shell were shipped by a number of innovative phone makers, such as Acer, O2, Pharos, Sony Ericsson, and Toshiba, have won numerous awards, and have been the choice of millions of customers. “It was challenging to design 3.0, as customer expectations are quite high,” comments Yaroslav Goncharov the Spb Mobile Shell Product Manager and CTO at Spb Software.
Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 is compatible with Windows phones running Windows Mobile 5 and later Professional platforms, qVGA, VGA, Square QVGA, and WVGA screen resolutions are supported. A free, 15-day trial can be downloaded, or Spb Mobile Shell can be purchased for 29.95 USD from http://www.SpbSoftwareHouse.com.

These days, online or mobile means of accessing sites or programs has become common. However, the real issue here is making sure you are authenticated and of course safeguarding your access.
FireID, a leading provider of world-class security applications for mobile authentication, today announced the U.S. launch of its revolutionary FireID universal personal authenticator that turns any mobile phone into a convenient and powerful self-contained, one-time-password (OTP) generator to enable highly secure VPN access and online transactions.
FireID instantly provides users with the most secure strong personal authentication wherever and whenever it is required - even when no cell service is available - by generating random OTPs on demand. For end-users, FireID essentially eliminates the need to remember passwords or carry hardware tokens, and it provides superior security by eliminating risky SMS transmission of OTPs.
For businesses, FireID ensures highly-secure access to VPNs and user accounts without the overhead and logistical issues associated with hardware management.

Have you ever wondered what would happen once the human race would suddenly grow extinct? Well the thought has crossed our minds for sure and while we may not see what the world would be without human beings, there is a new iPhone application that can perhaps show us how the world would look if and when that time comes.
HISTORY today launched its first iPhone and iPod Touch application, the Life After People Photo Ager, which helps to answer that question. The free application is available for download at Apple’s iTunes store and allows users to “age” images by adding cracks, holes, mold, dirt, vines, plants and even stray animals and rusty bicycles to photos that can be saved for later and shared with friends.
The Life After People Photo Ager is simple to use. Photos can be imported from the user’s own photo library, or users can take their own new photos to “age.” Also part of the application is a “Location Explorer” that lets users page through a unique photo gallery of famous locations – all accompanied by historical descriptions – and then slide a finger along a scroll bar to visually progress its aging process in order to see what it would look like after people. Customizable postcards allow users to share an aged photo, along with a personalized message, with friends.

Dell has the Nokia N63 for sale a discounted price. And these are unlocked devices too so you won’t have to tie yourself down to any carrier. The N63 from Dell will cost just $198.39 with free shipping. The phone looks like the E71 but it’s not as cool. It offers only EDGE connectivity, no GPS and only a 2 megapixel camera instead of the 3.2 megapixel camera of the E71. And the E71x is coming from AT&T in about a month for just $99. With the new iPhone coming shortly, it’s no wonder that everyone is trying to get an application accepted in the App Store. Hulu is one of them. Its new application will be ready in a few months and it will be streaming content to your iPhone via 3G or WiFi, whichever is available. Will AT&T allow the app or will it try to veto it just like it wants to do with the SlingPlayer application? Users should be really excited to watch TV with any of these two applications while they’re on the go. The only thing to do now is to wait to see if Apple is going to approve Hulu or the SlingPlayer.

MEDL Mobile initially released the App Incubator as a web based application but apparently, there is now a version that can be used for the iPhone. Using this new app, anyone with a concept for a mobile application can submit the idea directly to MEDL Mobile — anytime, anywhere.
As previously announced, the company has committed $2.5 million to the development of said applications across multiple mobile devices, such as the iPhone, Blackberry and Android.
Each submission to the App Incubator is rated according to five criteria — Originality, Functionality, Simplicity, Revenue Potential and Fun. Apps that pass MEDL’s scoring criteria go into development. All development and marketing costs are funded by MEDL Mobile and 25% of any profits go back to the originator of the idea. With some applications earning thousands and even tens of thousands of dollars a day, the App Incubator will allow people with great ideas for mobile applications to profit from their creativity.
MEDL Mobile also develops custom applications for third parties, advertising agencies and consumer brands.

It looks like Apple is not the only one that can serve HD quality movies online from now on. A startup company, M3X Media has announced the availability of a free Web-based application that transforms the popular Apple iPhone mobile phone into a multimedia entertainment platform, unchained from Apple’s iTunes online music store.
This breakthrough coincides with the launch of the limited public beta test of GruvMe, the first mobile service that brings together the most popular forms of digital entertainment onto one platform, regardless of device type or service provider. iPhone users can get this capability from the iPhone-optimized site www.gruvme.com.
The new GruvMe service puts in consumers’ hands a music, video and gaming experience as well as a social networking service. It offers an ever-expanding library with millions of songs, thousands of videos and hundreds of games. In addition, full-length motion pictures as well as top cable TV programming will be available through the GruvMe service for viewing on an iPhone once the limited public beta is completed.
Consumers can opt for an all-you-can-eat monthly subscription of $9.95 for the core service of music, videos and games. Content can also be purchased. For example, all music titles are 99 cents each; videos and games will also be available for purchase. The pricing for the movies and TV content will be finalized soon.
