It’s not a secret anymore that Apple is going to launch a 10-inch tablet in the near future. But we now hear that the Cupertino-based company is also considering launching 13-inch and 15-inch tablets. It it just me or have these Apple tablets have just gotten hotter?
Like always we can’t confirm these rumors and Apple will certainly not confirm them either. It looks like some iPhone-like big aluminum tablets have been spotted in a factory in Shenzuen, China. And it’s being reported that at least one of these bigger tablets was running Mac OS X. Should we expect Apple to come up with a whole new tablet line?

For laptop and notebook users, the life of their laptop battery is critical. Especially for the ones who are always on the go and making use of their laptop as part of their daily routine, it is apparent that they either have to stop and recharge or purchase an additional battery to avoid their batteries from dying at times when they need them the most.
But now, LaptopBatteryExpress.com aims to change all that. To ensure that laptop owners don’t miss a beat and enjoy the continuous use of their laptops, they have released a new external battery aimed at frequent laptop users. This includes aims to cover businessmen and students who are now relying heavily on their laptops for mobile computing assistance.
The good thing about these external batteries from LaptopBatteriesExpress.com is that they are normally universal. They are compatible with nearly 10,000 different laptop models. Rather than rely on you internal battery which is normally good for only 3 to 4 hours, this is a great backup solution if you are going on long trips or don’t have immediate access to sockets for you to plug in.
As a bonus, an external notebook battery will have a USB port enabling the charging of other small, portable devices like cell phones, iPods and more.

In case color is important for you then you should know that Dell is ready to offer you both the Studio XPS 13 and 16 laptops in white. MSI will be unveiling a new netbook soon and it is called the MSI Wind U150 Notebook. What makes it so special? The new MSI Wind U150 netbook will make use of touchscreen technology as well as the new Pine Trail Atom platform. The new MSI netbook is expected to be unveiled at the CES.
MSI is hoping to be the first company to land the Pine Trail Atom since Intel has not officially launched the latest Atom processor in the market. The Pine Trail Atom seems to be one of the marquee features of this latest MSI Wind netbook since it reportedly shows improved graphic performance and improved power consumption.
And the other marquee feature is the touchscreen, 10-inch convertible U150 with Windows 7. But before all that happens, MSI will be unveiling the 12” Wind U210 which makes use of the AMD platform. It will be available in two variants: one with Windows XP, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive retailing for about $379 and another running on Vista Premium for $429.
The U210 will be available in the U.S. this coming September.

Nokia’s first laptop was unveiled yesterday and today we find out that it could cost a lot more than we’d be willing to pay for it. Just because it says Nokia on it that doesn’t mean the regular consumer would pay $799 for a netbook. After all that’s what the Booklet 3G is, a netbook, and the rumored price, $799, seems like an awful lot of money to spend on it. Considering that Apple’s future tablet is rumored to cost somewhere in the same neighborhood we’d definitely advice Nokia to reconsider the price for the Booklet. Otherwise people are simply going to choose similar netbooks which are a lot cheaper than Nokia’s first computer.

We’ve seen the operating system appear on Amazon.com and we’ve even seen it reportedly shipped with a Mac mini, but what we haven’t seem is an official Mac OS X Snow Leopard page on Apple’s website, until now, that is.
Apple has recently been kind enough to launch Snow Leopard’s official webpage showing off all of the features to be included with the update. Furthermore, Apple has put the operating system up for pre-order at $29.99 with a delivery date of August 28th.
While you might as well go ahead and pre-order the software if you already plan on buying it, I don’t see Apple running out of copies so there is really no rush.

The key for any company’s success is nabbing key personnel from other companies. Normally the immediate goal is to fish for the employees of a rival company and it looks like Shuttle has done just that. Though unconfirmed, rumor has it that Shuttle is planning to invade the netbook market thanks to their newly formed team mostly coming from rival Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS).
Shuttle has been known to deliver small form factor desktops but it looks like they are on the verge of expanding. Shuttle has made various experiments to get into the laptop scene but it looks like they lack the manpower to support the development for such. But now, it looks like all that has changed with the said raid of manpower from ECS. ECS of course denied losing any employees or perhaps they have just lost count.

The Asus Eee Keyboard should have been available by now but this hot netbook is not coming anytime soon. Asus has delayed the launch and we might see it arrive in stores only sometime in October. There’s no official announcement just yet, but people say that the Eee Keyboard will cost somewhere in the $400-$500 range and that Asus will launch it after the Eee Top All-in-One PC that’s coming in September. So what do you think? Is it worth waiting for it?

If recent reports are to be believed we may be seeing Apple’s latest update for their Mac OS X operating system, Snow Leopard, hitting store shelves as early as August 28th.
News comes to us from Macenstein who have gotten their hands on support training documents for Snow Leopard which gives us a hint that the update will be dropping soon. In fact, their sources were quoted to have said that an August 28th launch seems “extremely likely”.

RIM has today announced that users can now browse the BlackBerry App World from virtually any internet connected computer. While this doesn’t really serve any purpose other than to give people a look at what’s featured in the BlackBerry App World, it’s a welcome addition.
However, RIM does throw in the ability to email an app’s download link to your BlackBerry where you can then download the software, but that’s about as deep as integration goes.
Check out the BlackBerry App World here.

We’ve known about MSI’s ultrathin X340 notebook since March and at the time, it looked like a very capable device. However, enough users must have had gripes about it because we were recently notified that MSI has made some hardware changes.
The X340 will come standard with an 8-cell battery, as opposed to the previous 4-cell, the device’s keyboard will be getting an update which Laptop Magazine says will make it “no longer act like a trampoline”. And finally, MSI will cut $100 off the X340’s price tag making it now available for $799.
Any buyers?

As for a price and release date, the LifeCam Cinema HD is slated for a September 9th release at $79.99.

ASUS has a new router offering that is ready for the world entitled the RT-N13U. While this particular wireless router doesn’t have many shocking hardware features, namely 801.11b/g/n compatibility, a USB 2.0 port and 4 LAN ports, the real gem is in the software ASUS will bundle in.
ASUS says that their EZ UI management software along with their EZ QoS bandwith prioritizing software and EZ All-in-One Printer sharing software is what really sets the RT-N13U router apart from the rest. If you couldn’t tell by their names, all of this software is extremely EZ to use.
Newegg currently has ASUS’ RT-N13U router for sale at a modest $59.99.

Back in July we saw the first set of leaked Chrome OS screen shots, or so we thought. Turns out, those were fake (who could have guessed?) but today, we bring you more screen shots of the operating system. The verdict? Still most likely fake.
While the UI looks like something Google could possibly have backed, why are the images taken on a CRT monitor? Considering Google’s massive size, one would think they would be able to provide their developers with a screen that isn’t dated as the one pictured above.
Either way, we’re going to just assume these are fake until Google comes forward and gives us an actual glimpse of the OS in action.

When it comes to traditional casing, our thought are often directed towards the standard and default black leather casing. But don’t tell that to Carie Dunham who has taken the initiative in providing various colored casings for most devices in use today. Initially focusing on digital cameras, Carie Dunham now unveils her new line of preppy styles aimed at the iPod, Kindle and Netbooks.
The new designs are great alternatives towards standard looking bags that protect devices from scratches and falls. While the initial batch of cases launched seemed to be color-coded according to the taste of women, she will be launching another line aimed specifically for the men soon.
Not only are the bags good looking but they are also highly functional with thoughtful, unique design elements like pleated battery compartments, comfortable handle lengths, hidden zippers for port access and flaps to protect the screen from the keyboard. There is even a reversible laptop bag-two bags in one.
