The Indian counterpart of London based A K Singh Limited announced its launch of the SwamiLaptops. This service for reselling laptops is patterned after the successful launch of SwamiPC - India’s first and only online PC shop.
The reported service is focused on providing a one-stop online shop for all branded laptops in India. SAIPL has tied up with all the international and national laptop manufacturers to offer customers a wide choice of laptops. Acer, Sony, Toshiba, HP, Lenovo and Apple laptops are already available from SwamiPC online shop. The company is also in talk with major national manufacturers to offer their laptops from its online shop.
SwamiLaptops offers 24×7 online chat facilities for website visitors. SwamiPC and SwamiLaptops are only online shop in whole world offering 24×7 online chat facilities.

Acer launched two new consumer notebook computers today, the Aspire 5920 (previosily mentioned here) and 4710, both of which are part of the Gemstone notebook PC line which stress the company’s new found attention to design.
Recently Acer’s design team collaborated with BMW Group DesignworksUSA to study design trends…the result are supposedly in these notebook computers.
The Aspire 5920 is built on Acer’s Empowering Technology (marketing speak to mean what, we don’t know). It features a 15.4-inch high def wide screen display with CrystalBrite (more marketing speak), and for a complete HD experience, Dolby Home Theater Virtual Surround Sound. The machine will run on a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2GB of RAM, a 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M-GT Grpahics Engine, 160GB of hard disk space, a DVD Dual Layer Drive, integrated web cam, WiFi and Bluetooth..
Its slightly less expensive cousin, the 4710 is smaller at 14.1-inches. It also runs on a 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and comes with 512MB RAM, 120GB HDD, a dual layer DVD drive, and WiFi. Graphics is just integrated into the Intel 945GM express Chipset however. It is also interesting to note that this unit comes pre loaded with Linux Basic Edition and not a version of Windows.
The Aspire 5920 and 4710 notebook PCs are available through Acer authorized resellers and selected retailers throughout North America, with pricing beginning at $1999 for the Aspire 5920 and $599 for the Aspire 4710

Taiwan-based Asustek has just launched a new line of notebook computers highlighting its new Infusion Technology. But don’t go expecting anything groundbreaking.
Infusion Technology is just marketing-speak, a term they use to describe the manufacturing process which ensures the build of the laptop’s casing is scratch resistant and sleek looking. The F8 Infusion notebook is being built up as a a device that blends technology and aesthetics well.
Its built with special features like a hybrid TV tuner that can handle both digital and analog signals, a built-in swivel webcam for voice chats and a finger print swipe security system.
Packed within its “infusion” chassis is an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600 (512MB) or NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS (256MB). Bluetooth and WiFi are also built in.
Previously ASUS had launched the F3 Series Notebook.

The Haier G71 is not your usual laptop. It is packed with a glossy blue body that makes it stand out from the market of black laptops and white macs. Haier Computer presented its 17.1-inch notebook pc ‘G71’ in Beijing, which attempts to replace the desktop pc. The G71 adopts Intel’s Centrino Santa Rosa platform and Nvidia GeForce Go 7950, and supports 1920 x 1200 resolution. It features a large 17.1-inch wide screen (16:10) display that makes it perfect for gaming sessions, film viewing, and other online activities.
If you are tired of the same old black, silver, or white laptops, then the Haier ultra glossy, ultra bold blue might be the way to go. As of the moment, no word has been said on the pricing and the availability of this laptop.
Haier is a producer of household appliances (”white goods”), including air conditioners, laptops, refrigerators, etc. Its headquarters are in Qingdao, Shandong, China. They are now the third largest white goods manufacturer in the world. Haier Group reported sales of over $12 billion across all divisions in 2005.

For everyone that’s been holding their breath and waiting, the good news arrived this morning. Dell has finally started the large-scale production of the Dell XPS M1330. The XPS M1330 will be shipped beginning this week to all regions.
Earlier, there has been some issues concerning the Dell XPS M1330 specially with regards to its LED display that added time to the estimated ship date.
The shipment for the XPS M1330 was delayed for several reasons. This includes the time it took to ramp production on the new product, issues such as part shortages, technical glitches, simple cosmetic issues, and other unanticipated issues that can arise when mass production starts.
But now, the wait is over. The M1330 that was clearly built with an emphasis on good looks and clean lines is finally on its way. It will be sporting a 13.3-inch screen, configurable with a LED backlight. It gets its muscle from its Core 2 Duo processor Santa Rosa chipset with up to 2.4 Ghz of power. Additional specs are its 4GB DDR2 SDRAM and an external video memory coming from NVIDIA GeForce Go 8400M GS which generates up to 128MB dedicated memory.

Sony’s VAIO X Living VGX-XL70S brings a Windows XP personal computer with video recording capabilities to your living room. The VIAO X Living comes fitted with both digtal and analog tuners to allow recording of two channels simultaniously. Users can choose from either single or dual 500 GB to provide plenty of storage for all your favorite tv shows and movie recordings. The X Living PC is certified by the Digital Living Room Network Alliance and is guaranteed to interconnect and exchange content with other certified devices.
You can also save a few hundred dollars and go with the VAIO X Video Station VGX-XV80S, which is a somewhat lower end model of the VAIO X Living model. The X Video Station lacks in a built-in computer, but includes more storage and recoding capabilites. Since there is no built-in computer, a network connection is required to access the VGX-XV80S’s video vault. With support of up to 4 hard-disk drives the X Video Station can store up to 2TB of storage, which adds up to roughly three weeks of video! Additionally this bad boy sports eight analog TV tuners for simultanious recording up up to eight channels.
It will be Available in Japan and State Side USA.

Logitech unveiled the new Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for notebooks. Boasting a small form factor that nearly makes it a part of the laptop, the USB receiver is especially convenient if you are in the habit of using a cordless mouse.
Currently available USB receivers require users to unplug them from the laptop before keeping it inside a bag, for example. With the VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse, you can leave the receiver in the USB port and not have to worry about breaking it open. Protruding just 8mm from the edge of the laptop, you can literally plug it in and forget about it.
The VX Nano also features MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel, allowing fast scrolling when reading lengthy web pages or documents. The mouse runs on two AAA batteries, and the battery compartment also has space for the nano-receiver.
Priced at US $69.99, expect the VX Nano mouse in the US and Europe starting late August.

In a testament to its size, the LG-S900-GP7100K features a 19″ widescreen monitor and a full keyboard with the standard number pad on the right. Other features include Dolby Digital Surround Sound, a special UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) battery, and a built-in webcam.

Asus has a new notebook series boasting the first ATI next-gen Mobility Radeon HD2400 GPU. Called the Asus A8Sr, the notebook is slim and lightweight, while delivering best-in-class graphics on a portable computer. The laptop features a 14.1″ widescreen LCD display.
Thanks to ATI’s HyperMemory memory management technology, the graphics performance gets a boost, which is required if you want to use Vista’s new Aero interface. The A8Sr also brings in DirectX 10: great for 3D intensive graphics and games.
Asus has also included its Splendid Video Intelligence Technology, allowing you to integrate the A8Sr with different multimedia data sources that reduces noise while increasing conversion rate for sharper, more crisp display. Other standards included on the laptop are 802.11 a/g/n connectivity, 5 USB ports, an S-Video port and a card reader. Bluetooth 2.0+EDR is optional.

In case you have been looking for a laptop to be used for gaming only, the Voodoo Envy H:171 is most likely one of the best options you can encounter in the market. Sony Vaio recently introduced their TZ Series of notebooks, which are suppose to be the upgraded version of the previous TX Series that we were used to see on the past. Besides internal specifications getting better, the TZ series have opted to go back in time and use one of their old keyboard that has a “child proof” kind of look and feeling, kind of rare to see it in nowadays laptops, but it is functional and gets easier to type.
In the features section, the new TZ notebooks have a LED screen, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, (standard voltage processor instead of ultra low voltage) and a battery life of 7.5 hours with a 6-cell battery, in case you need more battery life there is the option to pick a 9-cell battery.
Other options include a normal hard-drive, or a 32GB solid state HDD. All the good features make the final price a bit expensive - $2,300.

NotePal Infinite is the name of the new notebook PC cooler introduced by Cooler Master. The product will be inserted on the NotePal series, and is suppose to offer a good cooling experience for your laptop.
Instead of only cooling a specific source, the NotePal Infinite is able to cool down several sources at the same time, like the CPU, GPU, and memory modules. The DVD recorders and hard-drives are also included in the cooling process. The other function is to improve the airflow by 150% when compared to other devices of the same kind.
Thanks to the metal mesh surface in which the Infinite is covered, the notebook can be cooled down to a temperature of 17 degrees Celsius.

The Toshiba Satellite U305-S5107 is the latest notebook from Toshiba that will be put in the Robust Mobility category. This is a medium-weight laptop with 4.6 pounds (2kg) and lots of good features for the price it is being sold - $1,000.
The new Satellite is powered by an Intel processor - Core 2 Duo T5300 @ 1.73Ghz - and comes with 2GB of RAM Memory. The display - XGA widescreen with TrueBrite technology - is also on the medium size, 13-inches, which provides a 1280×800 resolution. On the graphics part there is a GMA950, and the capacity of the hard-drive is 160GB.
In a strange move by Toshiba, the U305-S5107 notebook doesn’t feature blutooth, but it does have WiFi (802.11a/g/n) and a web camera with microphone. Other features include a finger print reader and some software like Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 and InterVideo WinDVD 8.
