Apple has today come forth to announce a whole slew of updates to their various product lines. First up is the plastic MacBook that is getting an almost full redesign with a uni body enclosure, non removable 7-hour battery and large multitouch track pad as found on the MacBook Pros.
The iMac will feature generally the same design as the last generation, a 21.5-inch LED display with various Core 2 Duo offerings. Alternatively, there is a 27-inch model that features an Intel i5 or i7 with both models support up to 16GB of RAM.
The Mac Mini keeps the same design but gets a processor upgrade, more RAM and a NVIDIA 9400M 256MB graphics card.
And last but not least, the Magic Mouse — As you could probably already tell this is the successor to the Mighty Mouse and features probably the biggest redesign of all the updated product lines. This new mouse features no buttons whatsoever but instead a touch sensitive face for, you guessed it, gesture based controls.
Head over to Apple’s website to check all of these updates out.

Yesterday Fujitsu decided to announce a new pair of laptops to their LifeBook line, more exactly the P3010 and P3110 which can actually be considered netbooks due to its small size of a 11.6-inch screen.
Both laptops have a battery life that can last 6 to 7 hours, or even more depending if you use the eco mode. The two units will make use of Windows 7 as the operative system, and the great difference is the processor, while the P3010 uses the AMD Athon Neo at 1.6GHz, the P3110 has an Intel CULV running at 1.3GHz. So far there is no more information, but taking in consideration the OS - Windows 7 - it means the netbooks should be released after 22 October.

It seems like a day can’t go by without us reporting on something new by Acer, and the company is now telling the world that they have the first 3D laptop.
This “TriDef 3D Experience” allows users to view 2D movies as well as photos in 3D, provided the user wears the glasses. Oh yeah, the 3D effect also works for any Direct X 9 game. It works with a special brew of software, a screen coating, as well as the glasses.
My source does not say when Acer will be putting this out, but I will be listening intently.

Dell’s slimmest laptop so far, the Adamo XPS, has posed again for the camera. We still don’t know if Dell is ever going to launch the laptop officially but it would be pretty interesting to see it in action. We’re still curious to see what kind of battery Dell would fit into a case that’s just 9.99mm thick. Who would want a laptop with a poor battery just because it’s the slimmest in the world? Would you buy a Dell Adamo XPS if you had the chance? Or would you go for the MacBook Air instead?
