SONY DR-BT101 Bluetooth Headphones

Sony is not far behind in providing headset solutions with Bluetooth technology. In fact, they have released another potential Bluetooth solution in the mold of the SONY DR-BT101 Bluetooth Headphone.

The headphones also come with an embedded microphone which means you can use it as a fully functioning hands-free headset to answer and cancel phone calls. With built-in noise reduction and echo cancellation, the SONY DR-BT101 Bluetooth Headphones is looking like a pretty nice pair.

To experience perfect sounds, headphones are normally the audio peripherals audiophiles look for to enjoy pleasant and private listening. But while there are a lot of portable listening solutions, this new set of ear phones made of Zirconia from Panasonic deserves to be checked out.

The RP-HJE900 in-ear headphones are constructed with Neodymium magnet for rich and powerful sound. They boast an impressive frequency response of 6Hz-26kHz for realistic sound with precision highs and rich low end. They have a sound pressure sensitivity of 100dB, impedance of 26Ω and 12.5 mm drivers. The cord also has a slider to prevent tangling.

What is Zirconia?

Zirconia is a white crystalline oxide of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2). It is an extremely durable substance which can withstand extreme temperatures and is used as a thermal barrier coating in jet turbine and diesel engines.

So if you want the best in listening pleasure, check out these new earphones from Panasonic. They are scheduled for release in May, 2009 with a retail price of $229.99.

Motorola will announce two new products soon. These are the Motorola EM326g slider phone and the MOTOROKR S7-HD Bluetooth headset.

The EM326g is similar to the EM25 which came out last year. We have no details yet about it but don’t expect too much from it either. It will feature a 1.3MP camera, microSD support, Bluetooth connectivity, a 3.5mm headset jack, dedicated music keys and multimedia support. The Bluetooth headset might come bundled with the EM326g although there’s nothing to indicate that. Prices and availability dates remain unknown for now so we’ll be back with those later.

LG HBM-530 Headset

Bluetooth headsets are abundant at the CES and while most people are looking for the traditional and sophisticated design, the LG HBM-530 seems to be targeting the females instead.

Shaped and designed like a Swarovski crystal-clad, this headset can pass for a piece of jewelry. It can also be a great fit for women who wear various accessories and jewelries. If ladies should get this device, people may not even notice a Bluetooth headset clinging around their wardrobe.

It features an e-Clip ergonomic earbud and a carrying cradle, but really, the only reason to get this is because it looks like a piece of costume jewelry.

Samsung WEP850 Bluetooth Headset

When you look at bluetooth headsets, it would be Sony Ericsson that seems to be the only mobile phone that has such a device. But now, Samsung has unveiled its own version and it even won the Design and Innovation Award at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

While other mobile phone manufacturers have been introducing their share of headsets, this Samsung WEP850 Bluetooth headset is quite a catch with its wonderful design.

The earloop just doesn’t look the same as other headsets. The Crystal earhook really sticks out, especially since it has that extra piece on the hook. The pearl coated finish also places the Samsung WEP850 a step ahead of the competition.

  • Two for One: Headphones and Webcam

Here’s a pair of headphones with a twist. Besides delivering your favorite songs this device also works as a webcam. That’s right, it’s a pair of headphones that pack a built-in webcam. Although I can hardly see both of them working in the same time. I mean you will have to choose between the webcam or the headphones right? Wrong! The camera comes out of that crystal on that side and it can be placed on your desk and used as it should.

The Triple.fi 10vi is what its creators claim to be ”the sonic equivalent of sitting in the world’s best recording studios”. Well if that is really so then maybe the price could be justified. Only by looking at them you would think they are just plain, although interesting, earbuds.

Apparently they also have different features like the dual precision balanced armature for low and mid range frequencies, audio filters to shape sound signature, integrated passive crossover to direct sound frequencies to the appropriate speakers, as well as voice functionality with that microphone and a multitask button allowing you to answer/end a phone call and control an audio and video player.

It sure promises great sound quality, but is it really worth $420.00? Well, it’s up to you to decide!
