Epson has released the P-6000 and P-7000 photo viewers with a tethering feature. If you connect a select Nikon and Canon camera viewers via USB, it will take real time shots from the camera’s memory card and download it directly to the photo viewer’s hard drive. These things are pretty expensive as the P-6000 (80GB) costs $599.99, and the P-7000 (160GB) costs $799.99

Nikon’s new digital camera, the COOLPIX S1000pj, actually has a built-in projector. It’s the world’s first camera to have such a feature. The projector is able to render 640×480 at 30 frames per second. Built-in software allows you to add slideshow themes and such straight from your phone. Included with the projector is a speaker to playback any recorded audio.

Besides the innovatory project, the COOLPIX S1000pj will capture 12-megapixel images, use a 2.7 inch LCD and offer 5x optical zoom. Expect it to be out in stores this September for $429.95.

Nikon has announced their newest camera, the D90 DSLR and boy would we like to get our hands on it. It’s not necessarily the 12.3 megapixels or the EXPEED image processing that we’re after but rather the movie function which is a new feature for this family of cameras.

  • The Nikon Coolpix P6000 is a camera which knows GPS and geotagging besides taking photos. And it will surely shoot some decent photos at 13.5 megapixels wouldn’t you say?
