Ferrari is well-known in the tech world because of the ACER Ferrari notebooks among other products, but the latest addition to their big catalog is a Segway.
The special and limited version of the Segway is going to be called Ferrari Segway i2 Personal Transporter. Besides the new red color, the handlebar made of leather, and the Scuderia Ferrari logo which is located on the base, there are no other differences when comparing to other Segways. It doesn’t go any faster if that is what you were thinking, but it will be more expensive than the normal ones.

Guitarist’s can now easily transport what could become their favorite guitar, the world’s first folding guitar by Devillian. Their Centerfold guitar solves transportation problems that many guitarists have faced. With 10 years of development from devoted guitarist Fredrick Johansson, he has solved the problems he had experienced with transportation of his guitar.
You may be thinking that it would me more of a pain unfolding the guitar, instead of carrying around that large guitar case around on the buses, subways, bikes, etc. The process of folding/unfolding the guitar is actually quite simple and doesn’t require taking off the strings!
After releasing the string tension via a knob on the guitar, simply unscrew the neck and gently fold/unfold the guitar. Im sure you would also be surprised to hear that the guitar will be just as tuned as when it was folded away.
Devillian’s ‘Centerfold’ guitar is priced at only $3,370.

Writing a book is not an easy thing to do, which many authors can attest to, which is what makes this man’s particular feat even more impressive. Italian author Robert Bernocco has just published the world’s first book written entirely using a mobile phone. That had to be painful. He published the book on Lulu.com, a site where anyone can publish their own book for print.
Bernocco’s book was no small one either - in the end, it was an impressive 384 page science fiction novel. He wrote it taking advantage of down time, such as while commuting to and from work by train. He wrote the entire book using a Nokia 6630, utilizing the phones T9 typing system. The title of the finished book was Compagni di Viaggo, which translates to Fellow Travelers in English.
Bernocco wrote the entire novel in perfect Italian, not any kind of typical mobile slang that we’re all used to. He divided the work up into short paragraphs, and saved them on his phone. He would then download them on to his home computer for editing and proofreading. Writing the book took him just 17 weeks to complete.
Of the feat, Bernocco said: “Only a few years ago I would have struggled to find both the time and the publisher to enable me to create this book. Thanks to my Nokia and Lulu, I am now proud to be a published author.”

USB flash drives are a dime a dozen these days, and to make yours stand out from the pack, you’ve got to do something clever. Whether that’s jazzing it up with Swarovski crystals, or making it glow in the dark, it seems everyone’s trying something different.
The folks at Brando have decided to get back into touch with their natural side, and have released a wooden USB flash memory drive. It features a wooden outer casing, and 2GB of integrated flash memory, as well as a fashionable dorky neck strap so you can carry it around with you all day without losing it in your pockets.

4GB models of the watches are expected to be announced soon. The MSRP on the dress watch is $199.95 for the 2GB version, and the sport model is priced at $159.95. Both watches will begin shipping in July.

Bicycles and hybrid cars make relatively little sound when in operation. For bikes it is because there is no engine, and for hybrid cars it is because the car’s electrical engine is so smooth and quiet. Which apparently can be dangerous. Pedestrians and bicyclists don’t hear the hybrid car coming, and cars don’t hear a bike coming, which can often lead to a crash. So in order to prevent more accidents from happening, SoundofMotion.com has created a little computer device to attach to your bicycle that makes it sound like it has an engine. I can hear your friends cracking jokes already….
Other features of the computer are more practical. Through its Bluetooth capabilities, cyclists can turn use their cell phones to answer calls or listen to music through a wireless headset. It also has a large color display, and shows speed, acceleration, distance and time in large digits. Detailed travel data can be stored on a phone and uploaded to the computer.
It sounds neat, but what happens when it rains? And if you do pick one up, don’t say we didn’t warn about the teasing.

Why anyone would want to watch movies on even a small video iPod screen is beyond me, and the thought of watching videos on something the size of a wrist watch is even more crazy to me. Nevertheless, there must be someone out there that thinks its a good idea, or that just wants yet another piece of technology to add to their never-ending collection, because Epoq has created a new, ultra-small PMP MP-4 capable watch.
The watch features a 1.5-inch (128 x 128 pixel) OLED display, and can play back MP#, WMA, and SMV. MP-4 can also be played on here, but only if you use their included converter. The watch can also display images, e-books, and lyric viewers, and can function as a voice recorder and FM radio. The watch has 2GB of storage, and a 4GB model is expected to be available soon.
The Epoq PMP watch is available for $170 at FirstToYou.

And you thought the 13-year-old girl who recently won the LG National Texting competition was hooked on text messaging?! It seems as though LG should really be taking their competition to Korea, where officials there have stated “Our children are seriously addicted to cell phones.”
According to a recent study of Korean young adults and teenagers, teens between 15-19 sent 60.1 text messages a day, which is up from 59.5 messages per day in 2005. Young adults between the ages of 20 and 24 are also sending more text messages, but aren’t quite as bad off as the youngsters. This age group sends 30.9 per day, versus 22.6/day in 2005. 85.3% of teens have a cell phone, while 97.3% of young adults have one.
Texting is such a problem in Korea that it’s not uncommon for people to develop carpal tunnel resulting from their excessive text messaging habits.

Most of us are chained to are mobile phones, but few of us are carrying around a flashlight in our back pockets. It sucks when the power goes out and you can’t see all that well, but the little bit of light emitted from the phone’s screen does help a little bit. Japanese company Willcom is hoping you’ll never end up in a dark situation without both your cell phone and a flashlight by integrating a mobile phone right into the flashlight.
Known as the Plamo-Phone, this mobile/flashlight runs on normal torch batteries. Rather than being marketed to people like us who want a cool phone, it’ll likely be targeted towards those who are looking for a flashlight with emergency features.

Admittedly, the Apple iPhone is a tasty little treat, although not very edible. It looks so good you might just want to eat it! Ok, maybe not, but a slice of this slick new iPhone cake surely would taste delicious. It’s almost as good as the white MacMini cake.

Did you know Apple first filed for a phone patent all the way back in 1982? Well, now you do! Although it was filed in 1982, the patent wasn’t issued until 1985.
Okay, so they didn’t file for the name “iPhone”, but it is still interesting to see that it took over twenty-five years for an Apple Phone to finally come to life. Based on the sketches, I’m glad it took them this long - who’d want to be carrying around a big, clunky old phone shaped like an apple?!
