Virgin Mobile has now entered the 3G realm with the new Virgin Shuttle, manufactured by Personal Communication Devices. Designed to work with 3G of the EV-DO kind, the Virgin Shuttle slider manages to be both stylish and feature packed with a little Helio touch, fresh off its recent acquisition. PCD has squeezed in a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capture, Bluetooth, SD expansion, a 2-inch display, and a media player that also supports streaming media. The Buddy Beacon app from Helio has been renamed as uLocate for the Shuttle but performs the same function of tracking your friends and the “Where” application is carried over just as it is, providing localized information about restaurants and other places around you.
The Virgin Shuttle will land on September 28 at your nearest BestBuy store and will be available for just $79.99 without the frills of a contract and data plans starting at as little as $5 for 20MB to $20 for 50MB with unlimited access to VirginXL content.

One would expect a product that’s named TNT to offer some explosions. The only thing that’s going to explode is your thrill about uncovering a brand new, cool phone. The TNT isn’t that new and it isn’t that cool either. What is it? It’s just a phone. A plain phone which will let you speak as much as you want with your friends. And that’s about all that this Virgin Mobile can do for you.
If the TNT looks familiar it’s because it is made by Kyocera and it’s similar to the their Adreno S2400. The TNT will be released by Virgin Mobile somewhere in August and it will cost about $19.99. Yes, it’s that cheap.
For that price you get phone that can offer you a Bluetooth 1.2 experience. There’s voice dialing, MMS messasging, speakerphone and WAP Internet browser.
S2400 offers Bluetooth 1.2 and voice dialing. You’ll also find text and multimedia messaging, basic organizer features, a speakerphone, a WAP Internet browser, voice memos, a vibrate mode, and a 500-contact phone book.
If you are followed by the police and want to get a fast phone and new number well that’s when this TNT will come in handy. Or if you’re just visiting the US for a couple of weeks and you are in need of a cheap pay as you go alternative. Check a Virgin Mobile store for more details.

Virgin Mobile seems to be rather active lately. Not only did they launch their Totally Unlimited plans and pay as you go options, but they also managed to buy Helio out. And they aren’t stopping there. They have launched the Arc, a very affordable entry level cell phone.
UTStarcom’s Arc will retail for $49.99. It doesn’t offer that much besides actual phone calls and messaging. You will have Bluetooth, a VGA camera, speakerphones and 2 displays to play with. If you need a smartphone looking like that, you’d have to look elsewhere. This is just a fast phone ready to be used and dumped afterwards. It’s a good pay as you go alternative if you have just lost your primary cell phone.

Well here’s something I wasn’t really expecting. Virgin Mobile is offering a “Totally Unlimited” plan for just $79.99 starting with July 1st. And that’s not even it. Apparently this new plan will be the first unlimited nationwide calling plan with no contract and more importantly with no roaming charges. Ok, where’s the catch? The hidden clause? You know, where are we supposed to sign with blood?

How much do you like Sony Ericsson phones? How much do you like Madonna? If you answer yes to at least one of them, you might consider trying one of Sony Ericsson’s new phones which will have preloaded songs from Madonna’s last album Hard Candy.
Who’s more desperate to sell their songs? Madonna? I don’t think so! Sony Ericsson? Are we closer? Associating those two brand names might be a successful strategy but I wouldn’t buy my phone just to get some free songs. After all if I want it that much I will buy the CD or songs myself. Kinda like getting an iPhone and then stuffing with lots of iTunes.

Virgin Mobile USA and Kyocera have announced a Special Edition of the Wild Card we spotted last year. What’s so new about that eh? Well, there is. Apparently, 15000 lucky winners will have special access to the Guest Lounge at the Virgin Mobile Festival coming up on August 9th and 10th in Baltimore. Just flash your Special Edition Wild Card cell phone and you are in. While the specs remain the same with dual displays, QWERTY keypad, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and Bluetooth, Kyocera has dropped the black look for a slick white casing, blue keypad buttons, unique wallpapers, Virgin Mobile Festival-themed bezel around the internal screen.
This Limited Edition Wild Card will be available exclusively through Best Buy offline and online for $99.99 starting May 25 through July 31. Virgin Mobile has also thrown in 50 free music downloads via eMusic and a year-long SPIN magazine subscription to go along. Nice deal, don’t you think?

Virgin Mobile, which recently bagged the Samsung Slash phone, officially announced the addition to its line-up. A slider phone available in a compact form-factor, the phone features a basic VGA camera (I remember my Nokia 3650 which had a VGA camera in 2004) as well as Bluetooth.
Other goodies on the phone include IM, text messaging and email capability. There’s also speakerphone capability and voice-activated dialing. Preloaded games include Gameloft Jukebox and Superscape Demo. The phone measures 3.8″ x 1.8″ x 0.7″, and weighs 3 oz.
Priced at US $79.99, the Virgin Mobile Slash by Samsung is now available.

Virgin Mobile has announced the launch of Slash, a slick new slider from Samsung. With its great looks, the Slash additionally offers a camera of unspecified dimensions, web browsing, speakerphone, voice dialling, Bluetooth and MP3 ringtone support. From the looks of it, this will be another low to mid-range phone, accompanying the Kyocera Sonic, the only other slider on Virgin Mobile’s portfolio.
No other details are available on its pricing or release date yet.

Virgin Mobile silently released their new clamshell phone, the LG Flare. The Flare is a low-end (extremely affordable is most like it, actually) prepaid phone which sells for a mere US$29.99 — and that’s without contract. The LG Flare features basic specs such as a full color screen, speakerphone, Bluetooth, and mobile web. But for a bit less than $30, it’s not so bad.
