The LG Chocolate from Verizon is out in a sweeter version, apart from being available in two new colors: Black Cherry and Blue Mint. The new Chocolate is sleeker than the original version, and features a brand new vibrating touch keypad and a new navigation wheel with Trace Motion light.
The music player supports MP3 and WMA, while the My Music app organizes your music by artist, album or genre. Music is stored on a MicroSD memory card (up to 4GB capacity supported).
There’s also a 1.3 megapixel camera that can take videos at 176×144 pixels resolution. The integrated video player handles MP4, 3GP and 3G2 formats. Supported Bluetooth profiles include headset, hands-free, DUN, A2DP (stereo), phone book access, print, object push for vCard and vCalendar, file transfer and basic imaging.
Available starting July 9 from Verizon.

Ever wanted one of those quirkily named G’zOne, well, here’s your chance. The big V, Verizon, introduced the Verizon Wireless G’zOne Type-S cell phone offering reliable performance for those with an eye on the outdoors.
Compliant with several military standards specs, the G’zOne Type-S allows you to access Verizon’s multitude of services including Get It Now virtual store and VZ navigator. With its Mobile Web 2.0, the phone offers a customizable access to breaking news, photos, sports and videos.
So yeah, the 300k CMOS digital camera is nothing to write home about, but hey, it’s CDMA 1x EV-DO compatible, and I’m not complaining. Other goodies include a 1.8″ 65k main screen and 1.3″ B&W secondary display.
Get it online starting tomorrow from Verizon Wireless for US $149.99 after a $50 rebate and 2-year service agreement.

In a joint annoucement at the CTIA show today, Motorola and Verizon Wireless announced the availability of Motorola’s first in-car streaming audio solution - the T605. First unveiled in November 2006, it is finally available for consumer purchase. This new car kit from Motorola gives users access to digital music and phone calls directly through one car sound system. So while you’re driving around in the car, you can wireless stream music you have stored on your Bluetooth stereo mobile phone. You don’t have to worry about missing any calls either because when a call comes in, the T605 will automatically pause the music, and then resume it when your call is over with. As soon as you turn on your car, the T605 will automatically sync up with your Bluetooth enabled phone.
This neat new hands-free device will be available beginning April 6 at all Verizon Wireless stores for just $149.99. Professional installation is available at an additional cost at select Circuit City stores.

Today LG Electronics and Verizon Wireless announced the availability of the new LG VX8700 mobile phone. The VX8700 is the latest in a long line-up of hot new phones from LG and Verizon. This model was designed with the fashion conscious in mind, sporting a shiny clamshell design made of the latest materials. It has a large color screen, a beautiful 2.0 megapixel camera (that can also take videos), and features quick and easy access to VCAST musis and video.
The LG VX8700 will be available for purchase starting April 6, when it will become available on the Verizon Wireless online store. Shortly thereafter, the phone will be available in most of Verizon’s retail stores. The phone will be available for $179.99 (includes a $50 rebate), and a two-year contract.

Today Verizon Wireless announced the availability of the Samsung SCH-u740 mobile phone, which features a dual-hinge that allows you to use the phone both horizontally and vertically. The SCH-u740 has a full QWERTY keyboard, which can be used when the phone is opened horizontally. Using this features allows users to send text messages an e-mail quickly and fastly.
Opening the phone vertically, it looks like a regular, thin clamshell phone. It features a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth capabilities, and a number of voice commands. Customers also have access to V CAST music and video, Get It Now(R) and Mobile Web 2.0(SM)

Finally we’ve got a glimpse of the new Verizon XV6800 in the flesh. This new model is set to replace the old model XV6700. Stylistically it’s not much different than its predacessor, but it does have a 2-megapixel camera and 256MB of flash memory. The phone is also able to work on the EV-DO Rev. A network, which is pretty cool. Other than these pics, we haven’t received any word on pricing or a release date. This will have to hold us over for a bit.

The mysterious new LG VX8700 is heading to Verizon, but that’s about all we know about this new clamshell phone from LG. There’s been no word on pricing, a release date, or anything. Just photos from an anonymous tipster. Some are calling the device “Shine-inspired”, but I am more inclined today that it looks like a RAZR-wanna be. It’s slim, shiny and sleek and is probably currently hiding in the pockets of some lucky LG testers…

The Pantech PN-820 as mentioned earlier is a smartphone and runs on the Windows Mobile 5 OS. However the fact that this baby operates on Verizon’s EV-DO network makes us all warm and fuzzy! The clamshell design is a respite from the usual bulky smartphones and will also appeal to the fairer sex.
The new handset has a pretty cool feature set and one comes across a 1.3 megapixel camera, Microsoft Windows Media Player 10 and Internet Explorer, speakerphone, dual LCD displays, miniSD slot and Bluetooth connectivity. The PN-820 can be synced with a PC and supports Verizon’s BroadbandAccess Connect, which transforms the handset to a modem for utilizing Verizon’s 3G data network.

Photos of the Motorola MAXX Ve were leaked last week along with a bunch of other
Motorola phones, but now the real thing has been unearthed. Boy Genius has gotten his hands on the Motorola MAXX Ve for Verizon Wireless.
The Motorola MAXX Ve for Verizon has a larger external display than its GSM cousin, as well as some other minor tweaks. Other changes include a 2-megapixel Auto-Focus camera, and improved keypad layout. It also features an MP3 player, with controls on the outer screen. Other than that, we don’t know much more about it, but there are sure a lot of photos of it!
