Check out the new Toshiba Portege G500 mobile phone, which features a slider form factor and a large front display screen. This phone is perfect for both work and play, combining e-mail, internet access, phone, and an MP3 player all on a Windows Mobile 5.0 platform.

For extra security, the phone even features a fingerprint sensor to help protect your sensitive data. Other features of the phone include a 2-megapixel camera, direct push email, secondary camera for video calls, music playback, and support for VoIP. The Toshiba G500 has 64MB of internal memory, which can be expanded with an optional miniSD card.

The RG4 is a slider smartphone which features HSDPA and a 2 megapixel camera, as well as Bluetooth (inc. A2DP). It also has a gerat 65k color screen. Rumor has it this phone will be available through Vodaphone, with previews of it at 3GSM in Barcelona.

Softbank of Japan unveiled another collaborative project mobile phone today. This time Toshiba and Oakley got together and came up with a powerful, winning combination phone and bluetooth sunglasses set.

The 911T multimedia slider phone runs on Softbank’s 3.6Mbps HSDPA netowork, and has everything that one could ever want in a mobile phone: One-Seg digital TV service, Bluetooth A2DP profile, 3.2 megapixel CMOS camera (with anti-shake and auto-focus), 3-inch W-VGA screen (480×480), and a microSD card slot capable of expanding up to 2GB. The phone comes with an amazing 1GB of internal storage. Other features of the phone include an MS Offfice document reader, full HTML browser, and the FeLiCa electronic money chip.

Now, this is where Oakley’s contribution comes in. Along with your phone purchase, you will also receive a pair of Oakley sunglasses with built-in stereo bluetooth headphones. How neat! That definitely solves the annoyance of trying to wear headphones while you’re trying to protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays. However, expect this to knock the phone/sunglasses set up a fair bit.

The Toshiba 911T with Oakley Bluetooth Stereo Headphone Sunglasses goes on sale in March in Japan. It is available in four colors: white, red, bronze, and black.

Toshiba has officially announced the launch of the new W51T mobile phone in Japan. This slick new phone is loaded with a number of premium features. The phone is available in four different colors styles: orange/white, silver/black, and an all-white phone.

Some of the nice featurs of this phone include the ability to pick up terrestrial digital audio broadcasts, LISMO video clip correspondence, video recording, 3.2 megapixel camera, LISMO music store support, EZ FM, EZ news flash, EZ channel plus, and My Page. You can also send emails formatted in html for custom email designs, as well, you have the ability to insert animations into emails. Also included with the phone is a web browser, document viewer, Infrared ray communication, voice recorder, 7 color LED, and an English-Japanese Dictionary. The phonebook feature of the phone allows you to store up to 1,000 entries.

Pricing on the phone has not been revealed, nor has the launch date been mentioned.
