The pictures are blurry enough to indicate a leak, but are they the real HTC G2 planned to arrive at T-Mobile? There are no specs to accompany the leaked photos yet but we do know this G2 has no keyboard and there’s a 3.2 megapixel camera on the back. The phone should be available in May so in the mean time we’ll be looking for more details about it. And by May we might have other Android handsets ready to arrive.

We knew Samsung was going to deliver Android handsets this year but we didn’t know for sure what carrier was going to get them. Now we hear Samsung confirmed their Android smartphones and they are indeed destined to arrive in the USA via Sprint and T-Mobile. Are we going to get an Omnia- or Instinct-like Samsung Android smartphone soone?
Is the MWC 2009 going to be the place where Samsung is unveiling the new handsets? We’ll see about that in February.

The G1 has been launched only in the USA and UK so far. That means lots of potential Android customers around the world haven’t been able to consider buying a G1 yet. And T-Mobile is going to start launching the device in other European markets. That’s a good start right?
The Netherlands, Austria and the Czech Republic are getting the G1 on January 30 while Germany is getting it on February 2. Poland will also receive the smartphone but at an unannounced yet date.
We don’t have all the price details yet but we do know that in Germany the G1 will cost 1 Euro with a two-year contract.

Carrying over from the Sidekick LX, the new T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 looks a lot like it was made for kids. The newest Sidekick measures 4.7 by 2.3 by 0.7 inches. It’s roughly the same size as the iPhone 3G, but a little thicker. The Sidekick 2008 is a refined Sidekick LX that costs $50 less.
While the Sidekick line has never been known for shooting great images, the Sidekick 2008’s 2-megapixel camera is capable of snagging 1600-by-1200-resolution photos. The camera can capture video but only in 20-second clips.

The BlackBerry 8900 Curve is going to arrive from T-Mobile in the USA in February. But this Berry is also going to India to join the Pearl Flip 8220 and the Storm. Not just one but three carriers are going to get the 8900 Curve: Reliance, Airtel and Vodafone. The retail price will be around $572 or Rs. 27,990 which is pretty expensive. Will the 8900 be a hit or will people choose the Storm instead?

In a world where size usually matters we keep asking for smaller and smaller cell phones. We want them lighter too and not that width either. And guess what? Those smart brains developing smaller cell phones will have to insert as many cool features inside those tiny cases or else we’re going to the competition.
And usually developers manage to include a great deal of new features in every phone, despite making them smaller. Unfortunately that also means that the batteries are going to be smaller and therefore pack less energy per charge than we want. Like the G1’s battery for example. It’s not the best battery HTC could come up with. As a matter of fact the G1 will die before the iPhone as the latter one does pack a better battery.
That’s why Seidio came up with the 2600mAh Innocell replacement battery which will get you twice the battery juice than the regular battery. And the Innocell is bigger. Which means your G1 will become bigger than you would want it to be. The picture above is more than explanatory. This Innocell is up for grabs and it costs just $55. Ready to get one?

This is a 7-minutes video which apparently shows us the G2 phone which works on Android. Well is it the real thing? It has Google on the back, but is that enough to convince us? Is it what T-Mobile and HTC are preparing? The phone looks really good and Android looks even better. Everything works, or seems to be working as we’d like it too. The phone comes with a full touchscreen and in the video here is controlled with a stylus. There’s no QWERTY keyboard in this G2 version. Will this G2 be confirmed?

T-Mobile will bring the 8900 Curve to all of its customers, including companies. And the enterprise pricing rumors have started to arrive. How much will a new 8900 cost for your employees? The Berry will cost $499.99 without a contract, $249.99 with a one-year agreement and $199.99 with a two-year agreement.
The 8900 Curve will arrive to corporate customers this Monday while everyone else will get it on February 11th. Pricing for the rest of us is said to be the same as for business customers but we’ll confirm that later this month.

Nokia SuperNova is going to arrive soon from T-Mobile and it will probably cost you somewhere under $100 with a two year contract. And you already know that since it’s yesterday’s news already. In the mean time the guys over at Daily Mobile managed to get some more detailed pictures of the clamshell phone.
Once again, it’s a mid-level phone which won’t surprise you with its 2 megapixel camera or Stereo Bluetooth and FM radio but it will surely meet your calling needs.

Nokia and T-Mobile USA are going to launch a new clamshell phone in the USA. It’s the 7510 clamshell phone will arrive in stores next month so keep your eyes wide open if you’re finding it attractive enough.
Here’s a taste of what the 7510 is all about:
The price is yet to be announce but you should expect an under $100 price tag for the Nokia 7510 when it comes out.

There’s nothing new here folks other than the fact that T-Mobile has decided to finally announce officially the BlackBerry 8900 Curve for a February release. We’re glad to say we’ve told you so! The phone is coming as expected and rumors say the handset has arrived in T-Mobile stores already.
Let’s do a tiny recap of specs then. The 8900 isn’t as cool as the Thunder or the Bold for that matter. Or so do some people say. But it’s a very dependable Berry. It comes with OS 4.6.1 on board, a 512 MHz processor, a 480 x 360 display, WiFi and HotSpot support and GPS. The full QWERTY keyboard is present and if we can deal with a non-touch display we will certainly miss the 3G support.

And today we are more than pleased to announce you that the 8900 is definitely happening in February as expected, but a week earlier that people said it would. The launch date has been moved to February 11 from February 18. That means you only have to wait about a month to get it. Now we only need a price for it!

T-Mobile’s Shadow might not be the most interesting smartphone for you to enjoy this year but it can be an alternative to everything else the carrier has to offer. The Shadow 2009 could do justice to its predecessor. The phone is expected to arrive on January 28th but we have no idea how much it will cost yet.
Here’s what you can expect from the Shadow 2009, and if you think we’ve omitted the 3G support, well we didn’t. The Shadow 2009 simply doesn’t have it:

I don’t know why you’d want your G1 connected to an iPod dock but it’s possible. Sure HTC failed to insert a 3.5 mm headphone jack in the G1 but that’s no reason to connect it to an iPod dock. Look at the picture here! The whole thing is just too messy for my taste. And you’d have to know your wires in order to make the whole ensemble work. As an alternative you could always turn your computer on and make it play your favorite songs.

It’s not clear why it will happen but it looks like T-Mobile and Google are getting ready to offer an extra G1 battery pack to all G1 owners in about a month from now. T-Mobile is cooking up an extended battery project which will address customers complaints regarding the current battery status.
T-Mobile doesn’t have an official statement for this whole event but we should expect one in the future. G1 owners should be notified if they qualify for the free battery pack. Which brings me to my next question. Will all G1 owners get the free upgrade and if not what’s the criteria for getting one?

With Christmas over we are looking forward to 2009. The new year should bring us lots of phone deals, not to mention we’re eager to find out what manufacturers and carriers can possibly come up with next.

T-Mobile seems to be ready for 2009. And the carrier will apparently launch the BlackBerry 8900 Curve on February 18th. That’s what people say so far although none of this is actually confirmed yet. Well we’ve seen the Bold and the Storm this year and now the 8900 has emerged. We’ve seen the Storm vs the 8900 and we’ve seen all the bad news surrounding Verizon’s release of the Storm. Is it time we went back to regular BlackBerries?

Is Android and T-Mobile going to pair up for good? We’ve just seen the specs of what people claim to be a G2 handset and now we have a picture of it. As you can see it is an HTC device with no keyboard and a full touchscreen. The launch date has been pushed back to April due to software issues and it looks like at least one more company is going to have the same Android phone launched under a different name.
After the G2, a G3 handset is supposed to follow but there are no details about it at this time. We’ll keep you posted since it seems these are the hot rumors of this last weekend before Christmas.
