Dying for an HTC HD2? Well, it seems your wishes are about to be answered. TmoNews has gotten their hands on the above picture of a T-Mobile branded HTC HD2. Of course, there’s no official word on when we’ll be seeing the device hit the carrier but if these pictures are legit it should be soon.
Additionally, the device to the right of the HD2 is the Nokia Nuron, also sporting T-Mobile branding. While we did get word that the Nuron was to hit T-Mobile at some point, details were scant. Now that we have a picture of the actual device it is all but confirmed that we will be seeing the Nuron at T-Mobile sometime in the near future.
The only question is, at what price point?

In the past it was Yahoo the default search engine in all the T-Mobile handsets, but in the previous week they decided to switch to Google. The date of the change was close to the 3rd of March, so if you’ve bought a T-Mobile handset it probably has Google as the default search engine.
Taking in consideration that Google has this “default search engine” position in two of the top 4 carriers on the US, it is obvious to understand who is dominating the market…

Another catastrophe has hit the world and the unfortunate country is Chile. That 8.8 magnitude is one of the worst earthquakes we have heard so far since the Haiti quake and T-Mobile has stepped up to help lead a worthy cause by making it easier for T-Mobile customers to make generous donations for the devastated country.
T-Mobile launches its EASY text-to-donate program where all you have to do is text CHILE to make a $10 donation to Habitat for Humanity, World Vision, or the Salvation Army. Your donation will show up on your T-Mobile bill, and 100% of the donation goes to the effort.

There has been a lot of word that Motorola’s update to the Cliq has been causing more problems than it solves.
Users of update 1.3.18 have been complaining to T-Mobile about the inability to log into MOTOBLUR, Bluetooth connectivity issues, SMS lagging and crashing, problems with the virtual keyboard, dimmed displays, and the reseting of the clock. Apparently, the issue is with Motorola and not T-Mobile, but we’ll see if it gets fixed. You might want to hold off on downloading the latest for now.

T-Mobile is on a high-role at Puerto Rico, and to please every new customer they’ve got a good plan which consists of providing credit in case you sign a 2-year contract.
Of course that without singing the contract you won’t get any credit. This promotion is valid from the 25th to the 28th of February and the credit offer is set at $35. Another rule is that the offer is limited to post-paid plans. You can sign the deal at Best Buy, Radio Shack, or other stores to get access to the promotion.

T-Mobile recently had a generous Valentine’s Day promotion in which they offered a cellphone for free in case you purchased a new one. It looks like that campaign was a success because they are expanding it, which means the promotion will continue in the upcoming days.
So far there aren’t any exact details about the cellphones you can get for free, but it will most probably be the same as you purchase, or a less expensive one. The promotion is expected to be available until the 3rd of March so pay attention if you want a free mobile phone.

First of all, let me start off by saying that the Palm Pixi Plus, first unveiled at CES, is now selling at $80 which is a twenty percent price cut.
In a related story, Boy Genius Report has stated that T-Mobile is in “final stages” of preparing their WebOS launch with Palm.

Now that Palm’s webOS is on both Sprint and Verizon and is rumored to be coming to AT&T, that leaves only T-Mobile. Now, rumors have arose that T-Mobile and Palm are working to bring a webOS to their carrier, as well.
There’s no word on whether or not this will be a brand new device or just a beefed up Pre or Pixi, like on Verizon, but we’ll have to wait and see how this one unfolds.

As promised, T-Mobile spoke of all the fun things that the HTC HD2 will have. It is definitely designed for those who like to be entertained. It will be the first handset to support Blockbuster’s On Demand video download application, which allows the user to preview and download filims on-the-go. You can even watch the video on a connected device such as a TV, Blu-ray player, or PC using the specialized software.
Believe it or not, T-Mobile is shipping the HD2 with a 16GB memory card that will have both the Transformers movies. That’s one good Michael Bay original and one sucky sequel.
This 4.3-inch WVGA mutlitouch screen and 1GHz Snapdragon processor phone will feature a Barnes and Noble eReader app to give users access to a million eBooks, newspapers, magazines, and any other content.
It also includes MobiTV and six months free in-flight Wi-Fi access. We don’t have any information on the release date or pricing, but it should ship sometime in the spring.

Motorola has made the eighth Google Android device with the Motorola Cliq XT, also known as the Quench in any other nation.
The Cliq XT/Quench has Motoblur software, a 3.1-inch 320 x 480 touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G compatibility, and a 5-megapixel camera. Sadly, it only does Android 1.5.
The Cliq XT is slated to launch next month, but the Quench will ship to other markets in early 2010.

I didn’t realize that there was any problem with the trackballs on certain BlackBerry models, but T-Mobile is offering a free service to replace the trackballs on the BlackBerry Pearl 8100, 8120, not to mention the BlackBerry Curve 8320.
The user has to be a T-Mobile customer in order to get this free replacement. I’m guessing you’re probably going to have to prove that when you go to the T-Mobile store to get it replaced. If you are in need of a replacement trackball on your T-Mobile, then wait until February 15th before heading to your nearest T-Mobile outlet. There is no word on when this free replacement service will expire, so I recommend getting it done as soon as possible.
