    Today, Sony Ericsson has just announced the release of its all new W760 Walkman Phone. This is the first Walkman Phone with tri-band HSDPA, enabling broadband speed downloads of the latest music and content wherever in the world it is used. Not only does it offer music on your mobile, it also delivers built-in GPS to help you find that party or gig, wherever you are in the world. But that’s not all! It also supports the latest hit games, including games such as Need for Speed ProStreet.

    Take it anywhere with you without any worries. With extra protection from its MAS-100 Active Speakers, the phone lets you have a great looking protective case but would also allow you to play your tunes even louder and an FM radio antenna.

    We did mention that the W760 packs a GPS Wayfinder Navigator right? Yup! you heard it right. So now, if you are trying to look for the location of a gig or a new club, the built-in GPS with Wayfinder Navigator lets you search over 20 million points of interest around the globe and talks you to your destination every turn of the way.

    Perhaps inspired by Apple’s iPhone, Sony has developed its own enhanced version of a multi-touch LCD screen interface in Japan. The prototype has a high resolution of 640 x RGB x 480 pixels and size of 3.5 inches. It is made of a low-temperature polysilicon thin film transistor to support the five points of contact plus a special stylus pen.

    World View with Sony Ericsson, a global imaging campaign which aims to capture the best camera phone shots from around the world, hailed the photo of Chinese Wang Feng as the overall winner among 74,000 entries submitted from 23 countries.

    Entitled Fly Between Me and the Blue Sky, Wang’s photo has made a great impression among international judges for its creativity, technical quality, and humor. As a major prize, Wang has won a once in a life time photography trip for two. Runner-ups of this contest came from Philippines, Indonesia, and Denmark.

    This is the second year of World View with Sony Ericsson. In 2006, this global imaging campaign had received about 31,000 entries from 15 participating countries.

    Sure Sony has many clamshell phones, but they don’t have a really slim phone clamshell yet or but do they? According to SE Fanatics Sony Ericsson is planning a new ultra thin clamshell called the Sony Ericsson Z660i, it is said to be about 14 mm thick, based on a A200 platform and features UMTS and a 2MP camera .

    Sony P5i Cell Phone

    Sony’s upcoming Sony Ericsson P5i has been spied open recently. According to a Esato forum member who claims to be a beta tester, the p5i features a 2.8 inch (640 x 480) VGA LCD Screen, GPS receiver, WiFi b/g support, 5 MP camera, 360Mhz processor, 160 internal memory and MemoryStick Micro (M2) and MicroSD memory card slots. It is believed that it will run on a Symbian 9.1 system and be announced at Mobile World Congress in February 2008.

    The Guys at PSPWorld.com have found a pic of what could be Sony Upcoming PSP Phone. They were shopping at their local Grocery Store and found a pic of what looks like a Sony PSP Phone Concept, this is huge, so they got their video recorder out and took video of it as well.     The elusive Sony Ericsson P3i mobile phone, which has yet be released, was spotted recently on China’s Microsoft mobile website. If you can read Chinese, you can go to the website and search for the phone and it should still come up. The image isn’t very big, so it’s hard to make a judgement on it right now. Nevertheless, the fact that this phone has surfaced online may mean that an official announcement isn’t too far off now. So stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated.

    Sony%20Ericsson-w880i.jpgSony Ericsson is suppose to launch a couple of new mobile phones later today, more specifically the K660i and W890i which are Walkman phones, and also the W380i.

    Since this was an online leak of information, there are no exact details about the price or availability date, but some of the specifications are known, like the K660i being able to support HSDPA, quad-band GSM, and EDGE. Much like the iPhone, the Sony Ericsson K660i will display the web browsing sessions in landscape mode, making life easier for the users. Other features include a 2-megapixel camera and (FM) radio.

    On the other hand there is the Sony Ericsson W890i, which is an upgrade of the W880i. The improvements include HSDPA, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and better software for the Walkman music player.

    The Japanese seem to benefit from the coolest cellphones all the time, and the Sony Ericsson W54S is another example of that observation.

    It comes equipped with a 2.8″ OLED QVGA display, packing in multitasking support, a 1Seg digital TV tuner, LISMO functionality, the EZ Felica electronic wallet function, a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, Bluetooth connectivity, an integrated GPS navigation system, and a whopping 800MB of storage space, all crammed into a clamshell body that measures a mere 18.8mm in thickness when closed.

    It is slim, stylish and comes in a few different colors, which is pretty much standard in Japan. However, no word as of the moment on its pricing and availability.

    Sony Ericsson K850i Mobile Phone

    The Sony Ericsson K850i mobile phone was approved recently by the FCC. It’s a spanking quad-band mobile phone supporting UMTS and more importantly a 5 megapixel camera. Equipped with a QVGA 262k color screen, the phone supports M2 Memory Stick Micro. Apart from a full fledged web browser, the K850i comes with a host of messaging applications, entertainment services including Sony VideoDJ, PhotoDJ and MusicDJ and more. There’s also touch option on the phone allowing you to end a function or return to standby, and quickly access media.

    The Sony Ericsson K850i can also read MicroSD memory cards. If using an M2 card, insert it with the golden contacts facing up and if using MicroSD, insert it with the contacts facing down. One of the interesting features of the phone is the navigation.

    W880i_black.jpgThe new Sony Ericsson W880i has just been spotted - in black. Based on the photo above, you can see it. Well, it is not a surprise to anybody if Sony releases a phone in another color, they have done this before. Other models can attest to this. Lately, the S500i was released in a contrasted copper color and the W580i was released in Pink. So why not do the W880i in black?

    The black W880i looks really cool and you can even say that it looks much better than the rumored gold W880i. Let see when we will get the official announcement.
