The Samsung Reclaim M560 is headed to Sprint on August 16 but in the mean time we got some pictures of it so we should check them out. And we’re pleasantly surprised that these leaked pictures don’t look anything like we were expecting. There’s no blurriness here and we should assume they have been leaked by someone with lots of access to either Samsung’s or Sprint’s inventory. The Reclaim is a QWERTY slider which seems to be made with heavy texters in mind. Other features include a 2.3-inch screen with QVGA resolution, a 2-megapixel camera and GPS. We’ll be waiting for more details from Sprint regarding the launch and price tag of the Samsung Reclaim.

Samsung’s Android-powered i7500 Galaxy has been around for some time now but has yet to find its way onto a US carrier. However, Samsung seems to have the device’s younger sibling, the i5700 Galaxy-lite, in the works.
What you see above is a document released by the Wi-Fi Alliance effectively approving said device. Now, we have virtually no details on the Galaxy-lite other than that it features WiFi and will almost definitely be running Android.
However, we’ll keep you posted once Samsung officially announces the i5700 Galaxy-lite.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is now available online too from T-Mobile. RIM’s latest phone will be “coming soon”. You’ll be able to order your Gemini starting with August 5 but there are no prices available yet. Will it have anything to do with that $48.88 Walmart price we’ve seen earlier? With such a price tag it’s almost impossible not to bump into the new Curve in a Walmart store and decide to pick one up. However, if most of your handset shopping is done online then check T-Mobile website in about two days to see how much T-Mobile is going to ask for a brand new BlackBerry Curve 8520.

Verizon has apparently decided to drop most smartphone prices down to only $99 when customers choose a new two-year agreement thus matching that AT&T $99 iPhone pricing. That means phones like the HTC Touch Pro, the BlackBerry Storm and many others will now be available for $99 with new contracts. The BlackBerry Tour and the Samsung Saga will still cost more than $99 and the upcoming Touch Pro2 and Storm 2 are definitely going to be a little more expensive too when Verizon will officially launch them. What $99 smartphone are you going to choose?

A bunch of new images were released on the upcoming Samsung Rogue U960. The Samsung Rogue U960 is scheduled for release on August 15. The latest mobile phone from Samsung Electronics is practically the same height as the Glyde although a bit thicker.

Among the highlights of the Samsung Rogue U960 include texture on the back and a QWERT keyboard for easier use. It has a larger display as well with higher resolution.

Just as we suspected, the HTC Hero seems to be heading to Sprint. The picture here even shows a date for the HTC arrival. According to it Sprint should launch the phone on October 11. Of course there’s no indication that the document in the picture is a coming from Sprint and it could have been easily faked.
Besides the Hero, other phones are also mentioned. The Samsung Q is apparently an Android phone made by Samsung and heading to Sprint while the Aries is the CDMA version of the Gemini, a BlackBerry phone that will arrive soon from Verizon too. As for the Lotus 2 from LG, the handset is only interesting right now as there’s no information about it.
Getting back to the Hero, we’ll just have to say that we expect Sprint to launch it anyway so they could very well confirm it already.

The FCC is really on a roll today first the Motorola Morrison then the HTC Touch Diamond2, and now this. What you see above is a shot of the Samsung Galaxy taken from an FCC document.
The model number of this particular device is A3LGTI7500L with the L at the end reportedly meaning it is destined for Latin American carriers. Don’t be too discouraged, however, as this means that the Android-touting Galaxy is that much closer to being released on a US carrier.

We’ve seen leaked photos and specs and even saw it appear on Samsung’s official website, but what we haven’t had is official confirmation from AT&T that the Samsung Solstice was in fact coming.
Today, AT&T and Samsung have come forth to let us know that their low cost Solstice touchscreen is, in fact, hitting North American shelves on August 2nd. Official specs include a TouchWiz UI, Facebook, Myspace and other social networking software preinstalled. In terms of hardware, we’re looking at a 2MP camera and a microSD slot with 16GB of expandable storage.
The price stays the same as previously though at $99 with a 2-year contract.

Yesterday we were informed that the Samsung Solstice A887 was probably on its way to AT&T next month with a price of $99.
Well today the phone was spotted in a banner on Samsung’s AT&T handset directory page, as you can see above.
While it still doesnt’ give us official word on a price or release date I think it is now safe to say that this phone will, in fact, be hitting AT&T at some point in the near future.

If you’ve been paying attention you should know that the iPhone 3GS currently features a Samsung Cortex A-8 processor running at 600MHz. Well, Samsung has come along to show Apple what could have been.
What you see above is Samsung’s latest Cortex A8 core which the company is currently touting as the world’s fastest at 1GHz. Of course, since it’s apparently the world’s fastest, Samsung had to give it the ridiculously appropriate code name of “Hummingbird”.
Perhaps we will see these appear in future smartphones thus blurring the line between smartphones and computers even further.

Sprint is finally considering Android phones, or so does its CEO, Dan Hesse, say. Talking at the Fortune’s Brainstorm: Tech event in Pasadena, Dan Hesse said that he’s glad for waiting on Android:
T he reviews say now it’s ready for prime time. It wasn’t when it first came out.
Sprint will launch at least one Android handset this year and we hope it plans to launch even more in the future. Considering that T-Mobile isn’t interested in the Hero in any way, should we conclude that Sprint is the designated carrier for possibly one of the hottest HTC phones made so far? Or is Sprint going to launch a Samsung Android phone soon? Stick around! We’ll bring you all the details!

Samsung is working on a hot new smartphone which will pack inside NVIDIA’s Tegra chip. The company hasn’t revealed very much about the new phone but considering the power behind the Tegra chip we should definitely be excited. Features like AMOLED touchscreen and TouchWiz widgets are surely going to be present. We have no idea if the Tegra-based smartphone will be a Windows Mobile or Android phone but we’re anxious to find out. Remember that rumor that said a NVIDIA Tegra phone is coming before the end of the year? Well as we suspected it’s going to be a Samsung phone!

That is what we are led to believe looking at a picture that was posted on Samsung’s website. The header picture on the Korean manufacturer’s US website shows three cellphones which includes the R560 Messager sporting a MetroPCS logo. MetroPCS already sells the previous iteration of the same model, the R450 Messager, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if the latest version was picked by the same CDMA carrier too and the fact that this QWERTY-hauling handset is equipped with tri-band CDMA and EV-DO data support solidifies the fact that the R560 Messager will land in MetroPCS’ lap very soon. The R560 has already seen a Canadian release as the Samsung Vice on Bell Mobility and has escaped from the FCC’s clutches unscathed. We know that apart from the QWERTY keypad, it also crams in Bluetooth, a 2 megapixel camera, and that’s about it, pretty much what you can expect from a phone that is primarily going to be used as a messaging/mailing device. We’ll get you more as it emerges, so do come back!

I always thought that if there was one wristphone that could change my mind about the whole idea, it would be LG’s GD910. But seems like I was wrong as Samsung has now announced the S9110 wristphone, which sounds like a better deal than the yet-to-be released GD910. The S9110 features a 1.76-inch 262k color touchscreen display, has 40MB of internal memory (no word on expansion), Bluetooth 2.1, speakerphone, an mp3 player, and Outlook email sync. Sounds like a great deal for a watchphone right? Yeah, it does, but Samsung has gone one more step ahead and squeezed all this into a body that is just 11.98 mm thick, making this, according to the company, the world’s thinnest touchscreen cellphone. Available in France later this month at a price of €450 (approx. $639).

Improving upon the Samsung Gravity that was released last November, the Korean manufacturer has now announced the availability of Gravity 2 (SGH-t469) on T-Mobile USA’s network. Like its predecessor, the Gravity 2 also sports a horizontal slide-out QWERTY keypad, although in a much slimmer body than the original. Being a messaging phone, you may not find much in there other than the QWERTY keypad, but you should know that it has a 2-megapixel camera with video recording, an mp3 player, and a microSD slot that supports 16GB cards. Still, if your life depended on messaging, you can take your pick between the t349, the Comeback, and the Gravity 2, which will be available next month at an undisclosed price and in a choice of berry mauve and metallic pumpkin.
