  • Samsung W2500 HSDPA Mobile Phone

    Samsung has introduces its new HSDPA mobile phone SPH-W2500 for KTF in the Korean market. The W2500 is a slim slider design and is only 13.8mm thick. A few key features of the phone are a 2MP camera, Bluetooth, and MicroSD memory slot. With HSDPA, you can download at a fast rate of 1.8Mbps. The phone is available in silver and purple colors. The W2500 is available in the Korean market and is priced around $525.

    samsung-logo.jpg Samsung SDI has taken a step forward in the making slimmer, brighter, clearer mobile phone display with their announcement of the slimmest LCD display which is only a 0.74mm thick prototype module. Currently they are expected to mass produce their 1.9mm thick LCD module the second quarter of this year that will be the slimmest commercially available module.

    Samsung B6700 Card Phone II

    Today Samsung unveiled yet another gem in their line-up of ultra-cool mobile phones - the SPH-B6700 card phone. The small-as-a-credit-card phone features T-DMB, a camcorder, mobile printing, a 2-megapixel camera, MP3 playback, and Bluetooth. Other new features include an electronic dictionary, “my pet”, portable disc, and a file viwer.

    The phone has a sturdy, stainless steel body in black onyx with silver chrome lining. The Samsung SPH-B6700 card phone measures just 8.7 x 5.4 cm, and weights 79g. It is available through KTF in Korea only. If we’re lucky something similiar might hit American shores in about two years.

    Since the introduction of the Apple iPhone on January the 9th, the world has gone touch pad crazy, touch pad technology is the way of the future and many companies have heard the call and made their own touch pad phones in direct competition with the iPhone.     Coming in at Number 1 is the recently announced Samsung F700 ultra slim phone, answering the call early Samsung have come up with a splendid touch pad phone. Main features of the phone include a 5 megapixel camera, touch pad technology, impressive downloads speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and a cool slide out QWERTY Keyboard, which is something the iPhone is lacking. With their first deluge into touch pad phones Samsung seem to have hit a home run straight of the bat.

    The next touchphone coming in at a close Second is the LG KE850, this touch phone has actually been around for quite some time and is a smash hit in South Korea. It is widely believed amongst industry experts Apple based there design model around this phone. The phone features a 3-inch LCD touch screen display and 2 megapixel camera. The phone will be about $750. Any maybe available in Europe and America soon.

    Nokia Aeon Concept Phone

    At Number Three we see the Nokia Aeon Concept Phone. This phone is just a concept phone and not currently available to the consumer, it has been around for a very long time. Obviously Nokia was onto to touch phone technology from the very early stages, their long term research and studying into the technology, may see them if not in the form of the Aeon bring out a very advanced touch phone some time soon that will be available to consumers. If that happens you could probably elevated Nokia to Number Two iPhone competitor on this list.

    Samsung SGH-E840Calling the Samsung SGH-E840 just an upgrade to the E830 would be incorrect as the handset has some pretty great features and includes music download features.

    The Samsung E840 GSM/GPRS/EDGE handset supports music downloads including WMDRM and MTP files. One also comes across a Document Viewer and a Music Library which helps you to organize your music. The Samsung E840 measures 101.5 x 52.5 x 10.6 mm and boasts of a sophisticated silver/black slider design.

    Like all the current crop of Samsung handsets, the E840 also supports various audio formats and playbacks almost all video formats. Then then are the must have features like; a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth v2.0 / USB 2.0, FM Radio, Bluetooth Stereo Music Profile (A2DP) and a microSD card. Users will also dig the 2.22inch TFT display and the on board NF 3.4 Browser for a more intuitive web experience. No word on pricing or availability.

    Today Verizon Wireless announced the availability of the Samsung SCH-u740 mobile phone, which features a dual-hinge that allows you to use the phone both horizontally and vertically. The SCH-u740 has a full QWERTY keyboard, which can be used when the phone is opened horizontally. Using this features allows users to send text messages an e-mail quickly and fastly.

    Opening the phone vertically, it looks like a regular, thin clamshell phone. It features a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth capabilities, and a number of voice commands. Customers also have access to V CAST music and video, Get It Now(R) and Mobile Web 2.0(SM)

    The Samsung SCH-u740 is available in a metallic champagne color, suitable for both men and women. You can get the phone from the Verizon Wireless website, or through Verizon retail stores. It is available for $149.95 with a $50 mail-in rebate and two year agreement.

    Samsung T329 Stylish Phone for T-Mobile

    Stripe has been equipped with a VGA camera with 4X digital zoom and the phone has a whole bunch of multimedia functions like; text and IM messaging capabilities and myFaves(SM) support. One also comes across Bluetooth connectivity option which is generally seen on higher end models.

    The Samsung SGH-T329 weighs 2.8 ounces and measures 3.3″ x 1.7″ x .94″. A speakerphone and two displays are some other features found on the handset. The Stripe(TM) is available exclusively at select T-Mobile retail stores and on-line at http://www.t-mobile.com/

    Samsung U700Samsung Electronics made its presence felt at the 3GSM 2007 by unveiling their new series, the Samsung Ultra Edition II. Built on the success of the Ultra Edition Series, expect the new series to consist of sleeker, more functional and advance handsets.

    First in line is the Samsung U700 Ultra Edition 12.1 which seeks to be an amalgamation of style and functionality. Sporting an “elegant” slider design, the 12.1 (Samsung U700) will be available in colors like sapphire blue, garnet red, platinum metal and copper gold casing. Users will also dig the stylish interface and the fact it offers a HSDPA 3.6 Mbps data transfer speed.

    Like any self-respecting handset these days, the Samsung U700 also has a host of multimedia functions to its credit including; a 3.2 Megapixel with auto focus and a music player which supports formats like MP3/ACC/eAAC+/WMA. Samsung has also thrown in a 2.2

    Samsung SGH-P110The uber cool Samsung SGH-P110 may win brownie points for its trendy design and its automatic switching display. However when it comes to features, the Samsung SGH-P110 leaves much to be desired.

    The Samsung P110 is a paradox of sorts as on one end it has some advance features like; Full QWERTY Keyboard, Bluetooth Stereo Music Profile (A2DP) and Instant Messaging and on the other end it has just a VGA Camera and no memory card slot! Not sure which niche group the handset has been targeted at but expect the GSM/GPRS/EDGE (900/1800/1900 MHz) to create a buzz in the coming weeks!

    Some other features found on the Samsung SGH-P110 include; 25MB User Memory, Automatic Switching Display, dimensions of 1 x 47 x 19.5 mm, Bluetooth v2.0 / USB, 2.1 inch display and a speaker phone. No word on pricing or availability.
