ADA1df0c9_samsung_armani_poutak.jpg

The Samsung P520 Armani phone has been officially unveiled during the Giorgio Armani fashion show. The phone has been described as credit card-sized and will be officially 10.5mm thick. Of course, everyone is expecting a thinner phone but that’s what Armani and Samsung are offering customers, besides being a full touch screen gadget.

Samsung and Armani have teamed up in other products as well including an LCD TV. According to Armani, “We make as much of a personal statement with the mobile phones that we carry or the televisions that we have in our living rooms as we do with the shoes and bags we wear or the furnishings we choose.”

Samsung F200 Pics in the Wild

f200.jpg

New pictures have been released for the new Samsung ultra-thin music phone, the Samsung SGH-F200. This is one of the products revealed at CeBIT and is supposed to be the successor of the company’s narrow pocket-friendly X830 swivel phone. However, unlike the X830, the F200 gives its focus to music with a digital amp and enhanced 3D audio.

The F200 touts the same elongated design as the X830, a 1.46-inch 220 x 128 resolution external display, support for MP3, WMA, OGG, DCF, and SMP file formats, and a paltry 5MB of internal storage versus the 1GB found on the X830. Thankfully, Samsung included a microSD slot for toting more than a tenth of an album at any given time, and you’ll also find a hold switch and headphone jack to compliment the musical abilities.

A launch date is also unavailable, though the device may follow the F300 through Sprint or another major US carrier within the next several months.

Samsung i780 Phone Spotted

samsung-i780-gitex.jpg

A Samsung Pocket PC phone has just been spotted this week. The device? The Samsung i780 Phone. As seen on the picture, the device seems to have a navigable mouse pointer much like that of your standard PC or laptop. It is controlled by a unique scrolling device beneath the screen. While LG and Apple are going for that new-age touch-screen controls, Samsung is sticking to the old fashioned mouse pointers.

But of course, Samsung won’t let this hamper its Pocket PC down. It still has a stylus which you could use if you want to. I bet that the mouse pointer thingy would serve well with situations wherein using a stylus is more of a hassle — like when using it on the bus or on the train. Now that’s good thinking!

Samsung Electronics has recently released its Ultra Smart F700 built to take on the challenge issued by Apple’s iPhone. This time however, they have an ally in hand. Samsung J608 Bling Bling Phone

    J608.jpg

Samsung has just announced the release of a new phone model packed with some basic features that will only prove useful and not impress anyone. Samsung J608 takes all the classic Anycall features that Samsung has used until now in its handsets, with no innovation.

Samsung Anycall J608 has the same old slider form factor that this producer seems to prefer above any other ones. It has the classic shape with straight corners and no rounded lines. Moreover, it uses the concept of simplicity at its best, with no expense to design details.

The new slider has given up old fashioned function keys for heat recognition ones. Samsung Anycall J608 will come in two colors in order to appeal to both sexes. The black one would have been just enough, as there probably are too many pink mobile phones already. The black version suits this handset best, with an excellent display of elegance.

The phone proves to be quite compact, although its thickness will not break any records, at the sizes of 97.8 x 44.8 x 15.2 mm and almost 100 grams in weight. These dimensions are pretty average, just as all the other specifications for this phone prove to be.

Samsung J608 has a 1.9 inch display screen, capable of supporting a resolution of only 128 x 160 pixels. There are many other slider phones out there capable of topping that, just as the 1.3 megapixel camera on this phone has also been long surpassed by many others.

The phone is capable of providing support for a large number of media files and also packs a microSD card slot for making sure that the user has enough data storage space. Connectivity is available through Bluetooth and USB, as well as GPRS.

The phone has just been announced by Samsung and will soon hit the Chinese market, where the Anycall brand stands for Samsung handsets. The price that this device will be available for has not been revealed yet.

samsung-croix.jpgSamsung now has another mobile phone that rivals that of the Apple iPhone. Named as the Samsung Croix, the new touch screen mobile phone will rival the iPhone and joins ranks with LG in proving that iPhone’s hype is not all that good.

The Samsung Croix’s user interface also named Croix just won an iF Communication Design Award 2007.

The finger input system is supported by cross like menus and lists. When Samsung plans to begin offering a Croix based touch screen mobile phone is not known at this point.
