Samsung i780 cellphone details

Samsung%20i780-gps-cell.jpgThe Samsung i780 cellphone (with GPS) was first spotted on September, and at that time there wasn’t many information available about the device, but yesterday Samsung finally let all the details be known during an announcement in London. With that being said, the i780 integrates 3G, HSDPA, GPS, and Wi-Fi connections in only one device, which makes it the top-notch cellphone of the i series.

The TFT touchscreen that measures 2.6-inches gives a 320×320 pixels resolution, and features the Windows Mobile 6 Pro as the operative system. One cool detail is the inclusion of a mouse, that makes the stylus become part of the past.

  • Samsung SGH-A737 phone to AT&T

    samsung-SGH-A737-cell2.jpgSamsung has presented yet another mobile phone for the AT&T wireless carrier, it is codenamed the Samsung SGH-A737 and can be put on the low-budget series. The cellphone is available in 4 different colors: blue, lime, orange and red; with a price tag of $49 including the 2-year contract.

    The type of phone is a slider, and it features the 3G HSDPA technology which makes it compatible with the 3G services that AT&T has to offers, like Cellular Video, Mobile Music, and Video Share.

    On the technical specifications, the SGH-A737 comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera, stereo bluetooth, a digital music player, a speakerphone in case you want to enjoy music without using headphones, and a big amount on the maximum storage capacity of memory cards - 4GB.

  • Samsung BlackJack II Mobile Phone

    BlackJack II Samsung

    Samsung’s new phone, the BlackJack II, was unveiled during the CTIA 2007 in San Francisco. The phone (model i617) is a 3G HSDPA phone running on Windows Mobile 6 and is a quad-band GSM world phone. It boasts of integrated GPS along with TeleNav GPS navigator. There’s also support for AT&T’s Video Share service that allows you to share live video while on a voice call. I’m not really sure how that’s going to be useful, but I guess you’ve got to see it once. The phone has a QWERTY keyboard to boot.

    Samsung BlackJack II is equipped with a 2.4 inch, 320×240 pixel resolution display. For the user interface/menu navigation, there’s a job wheel. The camera on the phone is a basic 2 megapixel one. Under the hood is a 260MHz, dual-core ARM 9 processor. There’s 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM available for the OS and applications. Among other goodies is Bluetooth.

    Expect it to hit the market through AT&T for around US $149.

    Samsung SGH-i617 Smart Device for AT&T

    Samsung%20BlackJack%20II.jpgAT&T along with Samsung have announced the new Blackjack II, also known SGH-i617, that is suppose to be available later this year in time for Christmas. The upgraded version of the normal Blackjack comes with an impressive pack of features, and one of them is the increased standard memory, which will let you store more data.

    Besides the normal 2.0 megapixel camera and bluetooth, the Blackjack II comes with the AT&T video share, making it the first business smart phone that includes that useful function to share a video while on a voice call.

    The built-in GPS feature is good enough be used with TeleNav, and in case you want to stay up to date with the latest news, there is a RSS reader.

    Softbank is going to offer the Samsung 708SC slim phone in early march. The Softank/Samsung 708SC is actually same as the Samsung A727 cellphone but 708SC is even slimmer with the 8.4mm thickness.

    The Softbank Samsung 708SC has a 1.9-inch 260k color TFT LCD display, a 2 Megapixel camera and a 0.3 Megapixel secondary camera for video calls. The 708SC has a built-in music player and it supports Bluetooth with A2DP, that means you can enjoy music without wires and there is also a built-in PDF reader.There is also a microSD slo.

    Samsung SGH-800 Announced in Korea

    At first glance, the Samsung SGH-800 reminds one of the Motorola StarTac 70/80/90/X/v3688 series with its flip design. The SGH 800 is, however, better built the phone’s robustness shows when one picks it up. It is no featherweight, yet is definitely made to withstand the rigors of the traveling executive.

    Samsung’s menu system allows the use of shortcut keys to quickly and easily access frequently used features. Also, the screen offers excellent display resolution, visible in the Organizer’s month view. Backlight is generously applied and the screen is crisp and clear in low light to dark environments.

    The phone though, is grossly overpriced at S$598. At this price, one can just as easily get a Nokia 7110, an Ericsson R320, or the latest Siemens S35i, all with similar or better features.

    At the Symbian Smartphone Show in London, Samsung Electronics announced its first GPS navigator equipped smartphone, the SGH-i550.

    The candy bar phone runs on Symbian OS v.9.2 and S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1. This enables users to choose from thousands of applications from the S60 applications library and have access to their favorites by using dedicated hot keys.

    Additional features include HSDPA 3.6 Mbps, full browsing with a 128 MB RAM, 2.6-inch LCD, 3.2M camera with video editing functionality, 150MB of internal user memory and an FM radio. But of course, Samsung developed the i550 to have a GPS navigator function. With its GPS navigator function, voice activated turn-by-turn guidance makes it easy for car drivers to find directions while pedestrian mode offers specific locations and directions at walking speeds.

    The Samsung SGH-i550 will be available in Europe from November 2007.

    Samsung SCH-U410 Phone from Telus

    13613_large.gifTelus on Friday catered to those who need inexpensive Internet access on their phones by listing the Samsung U410 as an option for its phone network. Although it runs on the legacy 1XRTT data network rather than EVDO, the phone can still access Windows Live instant messaging, full e-mail accounts, and typical mobile web browsing. The phone is also rare in its class for including a VGA camera, assisted GPS, and Bluetooth with stereo audio as well as typical hands-free calling with a headset.

    The Canadian cell provider encourages users to sign up for a long-term agreement and offers the U410 for free with a three-year plan while increasing the price as high as $200 for a contract-free device.

The thinner, lighter phone, updated with styling and a talking menu feature for the vision-impaired and hands-free use, can now be acquired for free when signing a 3-year contract with Bell Mobility.

    Other key features of this sleek clamshell CDMA phone include Bluetooth, dual color displays, an internal antenna, VGA camera, and speakerphone.

    Additional features include an alarm clock; voice memos; calculator; task list; and scheduler.

    Samsung i450 Cell Phone

    There’s a new HSDPA mobile phone in the works from Samsung. The SGH-i450 was displayed by Samsung Electronics at the Symbian Smartphone Show in London, which brings both attractive dual-slider design and various multimedia features.

    Users will enjoy the phones features which includes HSDPA connectivity at 3.6 Mbps. With that, users get higher data download speeds that would blow their minds. The SGH-i450 runs on Symbian OS v9.2 and S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1, the Samsung i450 provides access to thousands of applications available from the S60 applications library and multitasking features in faster data speeds while ensuring the highest level of power efficiency and reliability from Symbian OS.

    The Samsung i450 is a dual slider which slides up to reveal a spacious alphanumeric keypad for making calls or communication and down to reveal metallic speakers. Other features included an ergonomically shaped touch navigation half-wheel, a dedicated music interface, 2.4-inch large LCD screen, a 2M primary camera with flash and a VGA camera for video calling, 35MB internal memory and microSD slot.

    Samsung i450 will be available in Europe from October 2007.

    Remember the new line-up of mobile phones for the 2007 Holiday Season from Verizon? One of those phones is now available. The Verizon Wireless Juke by Samsung is a sleek, swivel-design mobile phone with bundled music player that handles MP3, WMA, AAC and AAC+ files. The phone will be offered in red, teal and navy blue. Featuring a swivel hinge that opens up 180 degrees to reveal a keypad, searching for your music play lists or contacts is convenient on the navigation thumb wheel.

    Thanks to stereo Bluetooth (A2DP) support, you can carry your favorite wireless headphones along. The phone comes with a wired stereo headset, and a USB cable for data sync. The Juke is Get-It-Now compatible so you can download games/ringtones/wallpapers and more. It features 2GB internal memory and a camera with night-shot mode.

    The display is nothing to write home about, it’s a 128×220 pixel 262k TFT color display. Goodies on the phone include IM, World Clock, Currency Converter, Stop Watch and more.

    Priced at US $99.99 (after $50 mail-in rebate) and new 2-year service agreement, the Verizon Wireless Juke by Samsung will start selling on October 19, 2007.

    Samsung A127 Phone now on AT&T

    Samsung has just posted the full details of the SGH-A127 clamshell phone, destined for AT&T’s lineup. This entry-level phone is a bit light on features, with only a VGA camera, dual-band GSM support (850/1900MHz), and a black and white 96 x 96 pixel resolution exterior screen.

    The Samsung SGH-A127’s interior display supports 65k colors and a 128 x 160 pixel resolution for viewing photos and other things. The A127 slides in at a scant 81g (2.86oz) and measures 86.4mm x 43.2mm x 19.3mm (3.4″ x 1.7″ x .76″) in size. Battery life is estimated at up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 10.4 days of standby.

    Availability and pricing have not been announced yet.

    Samsung SCH-W380 HSDPA Phone

    Samsung has just announced its 3G HSDPA Phone during the KES 2007. The exhibit, shown in Gyeonggi Korea, provided the stage for the unveiling of this new hip and stylish flip-flop phone. The SCH-W380 is equipped with 5M and 0.3M dual cameras. It is expected to be available in Korea market in early November.

    Other than that, the phone also sports a 240 X 320 TFT screen and plays VOD, MOD and MP3. Aesthetically, the phone measures 46.6 X 95.4 X 20.2 mm.

    Here’s a quick tip on the new product recently released by Samsung Electronics. In Korea, during KES 2007, Samsung has unveiled its new DVD Flash hybrid camcorder. The camera named as the VM-DX10 adopts a 4GB built-in memory and 2.7-inch touch panel LCD screen.

    The VM-DX10 supports 3D Noise Reduction Filter technology allowing it to produce realistic, vivid images, Hyper Image Stabilizer feature and quick start function.

    It is expected to be available in Korea market in November, and suggested price is below 700,000(KRW).

    Tired of those plain designs of phones from Nokia and Sony Ericsson? Then check out this new design from Bang & Olufsen and Samsung. Its called the Serenata and because its from Bang & Olufsen, it ought to be great!

    With a new innovative design, Bang & Olufsen placed the controller on its latest design creation above the screen, to lie surprisingly comfortably for the thumb to do its music-spinning worst.

    Like your iPod Nanos Click Wheel, its touch sensitive and will scroll through tracks and artists. HSDPA is on-board for web browsing on the 2.4in screen but it’s definitely a music player first; there’s a healthy 4GB of storage and the bundled EarSet 3 earbuds should keep everything sounding sweet.

    For communal listening, the built-in speaker promises to trick the ear into believing its a bass fiend without the need for a sub or you can hook it up to a stereo via the silver designer dock that also charges and syncs.

    No word on how much you’ll have to pay for this mobile music confection, but if you find this one offered as a free upgrade on your contract, snap it up quick.
