Samsung 820SC and M130L Mobile Phones

It’s nearing the end of 2007, but the folks over at the FCC do not take a lot of rest. Approved among the day’s lot were two Samsung phones: the Samsung 820SC Mobile Phone and the Samsung M130L Phone. The 820SC phone is described as a GSM/EDGE phone with Bluetooth capabilities, while the M130L seems to be an entry-level phone with only GSM/GPRS support. The M130L works in the 850/1900MHz GSM bands, and also features Bluetooth.

As usual, stringent confidentiality restrictions are in place, so there are no photos to gawk at. Check back with us later for more info on pricing and availability.

In Ukraine, the local Samsung team held a press conference for the new line of Samsung mobile phone models. The others were already well-known to the world at large but the F490 and P720 weren’t — most especially the latter. Both are touch-screen phones with the F490 sporting a 5-megapixel digital camera and with a projected $600 price tag. The P720 turns out to be Asian and Eastern European version of the Samsung P520 Armani. It has a 3-megapixel camera as well as the rest of the features of the P520. It, however, has a dual SIM capability. There are no release dates for either phone as of yet but things are looking positive from this recent spotting.

  • SCH-r500.jpg

The Samsung SCH-r500 model of mobile phone would now be available to all Cricket subscribers across the United States. The release of the handset for all Cricket customers is on December 24, 2007. Despite the fact that it’s beneficial to all Cricket subscribers, I can’t help but think it’s a ploy to get people doing some very last minute Christmas shopping.

Due to the Samsung SCH-r500’s features such as mp3 player, bluetooth, up to 2GB micro-SD capacity and 1.3 megapixel camera among others, it seems Cricket is aiming for their younger customers. Of course, the fact that you can change the face plates of the Samsung SCH-r500 only helps ones desire to get it.

The model would be Cricket BREW capable, meaning you can download wallpapers, ringtones and the like using the service.

    071206_amoled_view2.jpg

Samsung has just announced another new innovation in their HSDPA line of phones, the Samsung SPH-W2400. The W2400 comes in complete with the usual array of great features that you’d expect from a Samsung phone: HSDPA, 2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, DMB mobile TV, Bluetooth, TV Out, to name a few. However, the thing that would really catch your attention is its design and stylish form. The W2400 slides forward like a normal slider, and then swivels again so that the screen is twisted horizontally for better TV viewing. Well, as it supports television viewing, then I bet this design was done just for that purpose.

But for those of you interested in getting one, here is the bad news, it is only available in Korea. The good news, though, is that because it uses HSDPA, it can be used anywhere that supports HSPDA. So hurry up, visit Korea and get yourself a Samsung SPH-W2400.
