In case you want to avoid those lines at Verizon Wireless stores, go online and check out the official page of the BlackBerry 9530 Storm. It’s available for the same $199.99 after mail-in rebate and with a contract. I’d be curious on that stock supply. Would we be better off ordering online or should we get a sleeping bag ready in front of a Verizon store? What was your experience when you purchased your Storm today?

Today is the day Verizon subscribers, and not only, were waiting for. It’s the day when the BlackBerry Storm gets released. How will it be? Well for now it looks like Verizon stores have lines with more people in them than the Storm stocks. But we already knew that right?

iPhone 3G launch deja vu? The phone wasn’t available for days at AT&T and Apple stores and that’s what’s going to happen to Storm too. If you happen to spot irregularities in the whole process do tell us. Until know we’ve heard how certain stores deliver Storms only to new customers which is totally not cool!

iPhone vs Storm In an Airport!

Well this is an out of the ordinary test. While waiting for a plane why not get your iPhone and Storm out of your bag and start a head to head… thing! Let the fight begin! This is probably the best way to compare them anyway, so take a close look and decide for yourself what suits you best, because the latest Blackberry will be launched on the market tomorrow! If Verizon is up to it!

Does Verizon have enough Storms stacked all around their stores starting tomorrow? Are we going to see iPhone-like-queues in front of Verizon’s establishments across the USA? Well it looks like that. People are saying that Verizon might have a problem in shipping all those Storms to its stores. And it’s not because there aren’t enough Storms to go around but because of a tiny OS security flaw which made Verizon re-flash the handsets.

Here are some hints suggesting that the new Berry will be a rarity in stores the following days. A Verizon Corporate store was promised 100 units on launch day but it will only be getting 20 today, 40 tomorrow and 40 on Saturday. Is this what’s going to happen to all stores? Will Verizon spread out the stock? Unofficially that looks to be the case. Best Buy might even delay its Verizon launch as Verizon will surely send Storms to its stores first. We’ll see how this whole situation evolves in the near future.

RIM seems to be working hard this year. Besides the Storm launch we’ve received news that the company is creating Berries ready for LTE and now we find out that it’s also preparing to launch a whole new music streaming service based on Didiom.

Didiom is a music marketplace which will get you on-device downloads and tracks streaming from your iTunes library to your handset. Didiom tracks cost $0.89 and albums cost $9.99. Nothing particular you say right? All files are DRM-free MP3s but we don’t know yet when everything will be ready for action.

In case you didn’t know it by now, Verizon is selling the BlackBerry Storm starting this week. And in case you didn’t know it by now, The Network has a BlackBerry Storm Private Sale going on for you. The Private Sale was supposed to go on from November 17th to November 21st. The only problem seems to be that there aren’t any Storms to go for. No Storms in the stores, no demo Storms and no good customer service. The only thing Verizon could do for you is to put you on a pre-order waiting list for Friday. What do you think? Is this all a mistake or Verizon messed up this time?

RIM Working on LTE BlackBerry?

Is RIM working on an LTE ready BlackBerry? Well sure it is! LTE is part of the near or far future. LTE will bring an extra G to current 3G speeds and it will be available sometime in 2011 or 2012. Hopefully by then 3G will be a common network for any carrier around the world.

Is RIM getting ready for 4G too early? Well I’d say the company should better prepare for the times ahead. If they’re going to keep rolling out handsets at least as promising as their latest Storm, they should be prepared to offer 100Mbps download speeds in the future.

In case you were waiting for the Storm to hit this Sunday you will just have to wait some more. Best Buy has issued disclaimer on its website confirming that the Storm will be arriving late. November 23rd is the new release date even if you’re holding a newspaper where it says it’s November 16th.

The price is still $599 and you might still get the free Plantronics 360 Bluetooth headset with every Storm purchase.

Barack Obama is one of the tech-savviest presidents ever but he might just have to give up its BlackBerry once he moves to the White House. Due to strict email laws and traditions and due to that Presidential Records Act which requires that all official correspondence to be made public, Obama might have a hard time working on its famous BlackBerry emails. Maybe it’s time he switched to a full time laptop which might fit perfectly on a certain desktop in a certain roundly shaped office.

Verizon has finally made official the release date of the BlackBerry Storm. It’s November 21st and everyone will get it: corporate stores, telesales, online stores, you name it. It’s not the 16th and it’s not the 24th as we speculated before. Get your money ready and head over to a Verizon store on November 21st. The Storm will cost $199 with a $50 mail-in-rebate and with a two-year plan. But you already knew that right?

Well it’s finally official. The Network hasn’t released the BlackBerry Storm yet but according to leaked info it’s going to do it soon and November 24th is the day you’re going to get it if you’re not one of the high-end Verizon customers. November 20th is going to be the day when the Storm arrives at 123 corporate Verizon Store in a pre-launch sort-of-way.

The official price is going to be $199.99 after mail-in-rebate with a two year agreement. But since all of this is leaked info we need now the officially official announcements! Your ball Verizon!

If Vodafone is not your local carrier then it must be Verizon the network that will bring your the Storm. Well The Network has a new BlackBerry Storm sometime this week and they have a new commercial for it. The haptic feedback is the central element of this commercial and it certainly looks great.

So Verizon subscribers what will you do? Will you get the new iPhone? I mean the Storm of course!

What’s the hottest thing in town? Anyone? Anyone? I know you know what it is, you just won’t admit to it, because we all have a certain iPhone 3G related nostalgia… But here’s the truth, Blackberry Storm is going to crush all competition! Well not all of the competition, but some of it.

It is a full-touch device, so, obviously, its whole functionality spins around its touchscreen display. One of the hottest thing about it, is the landscape QWERTY keyboard, which allows you to basically, use both hands while browsing, texting or emailing, which definitely makes life complete while being on the run. And the copy paste thing. Should I say more? It’s kinda like what the iPhone does but maybe better. In the mean time we have more videos for you to enjoy with Vodafone Berries in action.

The smartphone business has taken a hit and I am not referring to the economical crisis we’re currently living in. I am talking about Apple and RIM who are boldly going after Nokia’s first place on top of the smartphone business. Needless to say the two companies have already outranked Microsoft, Samsung or Motorola and they are going for the big kill.

Although down from 51.4% smartphone market share last year to 38.9% this year, I am sure Nokia won’t lose it’s crown soon. Apple has a 17.3% of the worldwide market share while RIM is tailing along with 15.2% Apple is advantaged by the fact it only has two cell phones out there compared to RIM’s countless Berries that are sold almost anywhere. But the Storm is coming which means we are in for a tough battle between Apple and RIM for the second place. And let’s not forget about the G1 who is also coming in hot!

As we told you earlier, Verizon’s BlackBerry Storm Challenge will not be a local event only. Besides San Francisco, other major U.S. cities are going to get the Verizon booth which shoots tickets around. Such is the case of New York City. Verizon’s booth will be set up in Father Duffy Square located in the northern triangle of Times Square on Broadway, between 46th and 47th Street on Thursday, November 13th, between 10AM and 7PM. Interested in getting a free Storm? That’s your chance right there and that’s the place to be if in New York this week. Just mark it in your busy calendar!

With days to go to the official Vodafone/Verizon Storm release we grow more and more anxious to see hot RIM’s first touchscreen phone will do out there. The video above will show you some of the Stom’s most interesting features. Compared to its inspiration and main competitor, the iPhone, the Storm will have some advantages, like the copy paste function and the haptic feedback, and some disadvantages like the lack of WiFi and the lack of a wide selection of third-party applications.

Check the video above for a short and very virtual hands-on Storm experience. We’re going to bring you all the facts later on.

People are definitely waiting for the BlackBerry Storm. The newest RIM smartphone has just become the number 1 handset searched online. It has surpassed the iPhone, the Nokia N94 and the G1. Just check out the graph above! That’s impressive for now, but it will be interesting to see if the Storm can keep its position up there. In the mean time we’re waiting for Verizon to unveil its pricing for the Storm. If it’s as cheap as some say, then maybe the Storm will hold the number 1 position for quite a while.

Vodafone has announced that the Storm will be released on November 14. We were expecting that, didn’t we? What we didn’t expect was the November 18 date showing up on Vodafone’s Storm pre-order page. Well then Vodafone, make up your mind! We should be waiting for the Storm to arrive in November, right?

Verizon is rumored to release the Storm during the same time although we don’t have any clear information on that either. Is everything ok with the Storm?
