In case you don’t remember, we talked about the Pantech Matrix at AT&T a couple of weeks ago back in Septemer, and the cellphone was officially launched today. It is already listed on the AT&T website with a price tag of $80 with rebate + service agreement, or $280 if you want a free phone.
Like previously mentioned, the Matrix cellphone has an interesting and unique detail – dual slide out keypads. It means there are 2 sliding keyboards, one is numeric while the other is QWERTY. In terms of multimedia, the Matrix can read MP3, MIDI, iMelody, MMF, WAV, SMAF, and AAC+ format files.
The battery on this Pantech cellphone can last 3 hours of talk time, which is below the average and should be improved in the next version. On stand-by mode it works up to 10 hours.

AT&T has added another entry-level cellphone to their big catalog, the Pantech C610. In case you don’t remember, the cellphone was approved by FCC back in May this year.
The C610 flip phone will be available in one color – flame red – and cost approximately $50 with the AT&T contract + rebate. If you pick the non-traditional route of no contract, the price goes way up to $250.
As for the phone itself, it is pretty basic. The C610 sports a 1.3-megapixel camera, an old-school version of Bluetooth 1.2, and an expandable memory storage of 4GB when using a microSD memory card. The music player supports popular formats such as MP3, AAC, or WAV, and to make the multimedia experience more complete, there are music subscription services like Napster Mobile and eMusic.

The Pantech Matrix phone is schedule to arrive in the U.S. from AT&T soon. The handset a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard which should be heavily used by all those hardcore text and internet users. The phone also sports UMTS/HSDPA support, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and Video Share support.
We obviously don’t have any pricing and availability yet but when the Matrix hits it will arrive in three colors, red, black and blue. Wonder why it’s called Matrix though.

While the Pantech Sky IM-S380K was a GSM handset headed for Korea’s KTF, the new Sky IM-S360L seems to head the other way to the CDMA air waves on Korea’s CDMA carrier, LGT. Although molded from the same clay, there are many differences on the IM-S360L starting with network support and the slightly changed key placement on the same slider design. The Pantech Sky Bang also features a 2.3-inch QVGA display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio, mp3 player, and microSD support. Measuring 102.9 x 48.6 x 13.4 mm and weighing 94 grams, the Sky Bang is available in a choice of Black, White, Silver, and of course, Pink at 400,000 KRW ($346) on LGT.

Pantech has launched another mobile phone under its Sky branding, the IM-S380K. This new slider is HSDPA capable, so KTF users can be sure that they will be able to stay connected at pretty good speeds at any given time. There’s a front-facing camera for video calling and a dedicated button for quick email access, but otherwise, the features are pretty usual with an FM radio, music player, Bluetooth, electronic dictionary, and memory expansion. Look for it to show up on KTF, South Korea, in colors of white, pink, and black during the coming months for 400000 KRW (approx. $355).

Just like the name suggests, Pantech Breeze sure is equipped to be the perfect phone for the first time mobile users, although I doubt there are many of that breed. Being a product of AT&T and Pantech’s collaborative toils, the Breeze has a large display, oversized buttons for easy typing, and a trio of quick call buttons for those frequently called numbers. The menus are also simplified and uncomplicated thanks to the incorporated “Breeze menu” which prioritizes features that are accessed the most by the user. The Breeze can also serve as the perfect companion for the elderly and disabled with its audio cues and tactile clicks when the oversized buttons are pressed and offers up to 3 hours of talktime and 10 hours of standby on a single charge. Underneath all this, the Breeze is a mid-range device with a camera (unspecified), Bluetooth, and other functional utilities such as an alarm clock, notepad, calculator, and a calendar.
If you know someone who you think could benefit from such a device, head over to an AT&T store near you and fork over $124.99 on AT&T’s Pay As You Go plan after a $30 mail-in rebate.

Yet another phone straight outta’ Korea. This time it’s Pantech’s Sky IM-S250L, featuring things like a 1.3 mp camera, electronic dictionary, and MP3. Also featured, among other things, on the IM-S250L is a QVGA screen, and internet radio capabilities. Bone conduction is the conduction of sound to the inner ear through the bones of the skull. Bone conduction is the reason why a person’s voice sounds different to him/her when it is recorded and played back. It tends to amplify the lower frequencies, and so most people hear their own voice as being of a lower pitch than it actually is. Using this concept in earphones or hearing aids is nothing new.
We have come across many gadgets in the past that have used Bone Conduction. The latest one to incorporate this feature is Pantech’s KDDI A1407PT cellphone. Other than the fact that the phone features bone conduction loudspeakers that channels sound through your bones from your ear (or just behind your ear), thus helping you hear in noisy environments, the phone has little else to write home about. It sports a 2.4-inch screen and a 1.3-megapixel camera.

Not only is the Pantech PN810 a slider, but it’s a dual slider as well. If you’re not quite sure what that means, check out the photo.
