Sprint will be offering its customers quite a few cell phones during the following months and I am not talking about the Pre only. So let’s see what the rumors say, shall we?
The Palm Treo Pro will launch around March 15. Yes, that’s right, the phone has been delayed again so we’re not sure what will happen with it. The Rumor 2 from LG is scheduled to be available in black and blue starting with the middle of March. The LG LX370 slider should arrive in April or May. The Samsung Instinct Mini is a smaller, slimmer Instinct which Sprint will launch on April 19. What’s the matter Samsung, did you buy into all that iPhone nano rumors and created a nano Instinct? The HTC Cedar is a QWERTY candybar phone which will arrive sometime in June. But we’re all going to be craving for a Palm Pre from Sprint, no matter how interesting some of the devices I have already mentioned are.

Many are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Palm Treo but apparently you will have to wait a little bit longer. The CDMA Palm Treo Pro has been shelved indefinitely.
The gap puts the Treo Pro’s release closer to that of the Pre, which is widely expected to launch in May and should replace at least some of Palm’s normal high-end phones. The company is already carrying both the PalmOS-based 755p and the Windows Mobile-based 800w.

We’ve seen the Sprint Palm Treo Pro briefly on Sprint’s website a few days ago and now we know it’s only going to arrive on February 15. In the mean time you can pre-order the handset from Best Buy which seems ready to sell it for you for the special price of $699. And you will receive it in about two weeks time.
I guess we shouldn’t remind you that the Pre is coming and you’d be better off waiting for that phone, right?

Sprint has posted the CDMA Treo Pro on its site today. Great news right? The Windows Mobile phone was supposed to be available for $249.99 with a two-year contract or for $549.99 without a contract.
But guess what? Sprint made a mistake and it has pulled the phone from the site already. The phone has to go through the “customary testing process” which means we have no idea when the phone will arrive. In their own words:
Tags: Palm, Palm, Palm Treo, Sprint, Sprint, Treo ProSprint inadvertently posted information on Sprint.com regarding an upcoming product, Palm Treo Pro, this morning. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Sprint looks forward to welcoming this exciting, new device into our portfolio as soon as it has been approved through our customary testing process. We will share details on the correct availability date as soon as the standard testing of both the device and its interaction with our network has concluded. Thank you for your interest in Sprint products.

According to the image above, the Palm Treo Pro will be available from Sprint in the near, or far for that matter, future. The screenshot above shows Sprint’s website which has the Palm Treo Pro as an option in the drop-down menu. The phone is available in Europe-only at the time but Sprint might just be the next carrier to pick it up.

Now is that really a possibility? Will AT&T sell the Palm Treo Pro later this year? Or will this be yet another BlackBerry Bold release? We all know what happened with the Bold. It got delayed again and again. Who knows why really! We all suspect it was the iPhone. AT&T tried to milk the iPhone frenzy as much as possible. It would have been just a little harder with other smartphones in their shops. (more…)

Rogers is certainly not losing any time. After launching the iPhone 3G in Canada and after bringing the BlackBerry Bold the Canadian carrier is ready to bring more smartphones to its subscribers. The next in line appears to be the Palm Treo Pro which might be available from Rogers starting with September 17th. (more…)

Earlier today, we posted several leaked photos of the Palm Treo Pro. Well, less than a day later live shots of the phone have hit the web.
As you can see above the Palm Treo Pro is an extremely sleek looking phone running none other than Windows Mobile. But what do we know so far in regards to it’s specs?
While none of these specs are completely out of this world, the pure usability of the Treo line, coupled with Windows Mobile could make for a great phone when this thing actually hits the market.

Is this the new Treo that Palm is getting ready for 2009? They have been plans for the upcoming year, but if they want to sell those phones they ordered, they need some good handsets.
This is the Treo Pro, supposed to work on Windows Mobile. So there’s no Palm OS for now. The flash presentation was taken down from Palm’s site leaving us wanting for more. We need specs, prices and launch date. In the mean time enjoy the screens!
