Acer has finally done it! After boasting of their first 3D laptop, the mobile device is finally here for all techie geeks. The Acer 5738DG Laptop is obviously meant for gaming and some advanced graphic designing folks for sure. The Acer 5738DG Laptop includes a TriDef software that should get you up and experimenting on various photos with 3D technology. There is also a 3D layer on top of the screen which performs perfectly even without 3D glasses. Aside from that, this may just be considered as simply another common laptop boasting of 2.2 GHz Core Duo, 4GB of RAM, and an ATI Radeon HD 4570 graphics that can adhere towards gaming and graphics designing needs.

Samsung Electronics is set to officially unveil another mobile phone soon after getting approval for its Samsung SCH-W799. The handset underwent rugged tests and satisfactorily met all conditions set by the FCC and now the only thing left is when it would officially hit the market. A lot of the tests done focused on the electromagnetic emissions of radio frequencies. The only thing clear about the Samsung SCH-W799 for now is that it comes with Bluetooth 2.0 with enhanced data rates and a permanently attached antenna with no provisions for an external one. But expect the official features to come out soon and it should not be surprising if it comes with the usual built-in camera, media players, GPS and other connectivity options as well.

Check out this PhoneBook, a product from the Japan-based Mobile Art Lab. It is an iPhone accessory/product that is targetted for little kids.
All you have to do is load in the specially-made iPhone software, put in the iPhone, and a child is ready for some interactive fun and learning. I’m surprised that there isn’t more products like it.

Some Apple products are so popular that some people will go to great lengths to steal them. However this is definitely one of the biggest Apple-related robberies. 3,000 to 4,000 iPhones have been stolen in Belgium which is about 2 million Euro worth of stolen goods. So why did the robbers act in Belgium? Well it looks like Belgium iPhones are not SIM locked which means they can be sold anywhere in the world.
The phones will probably be sold outside Belgium as most of them will be blocked from working in Belgium. It will be interesting to see if the robbers will get caught but we’ll keep you updated once we know more about this iPhone crime.

This is not the first time we hear that Creative might launch a smartphone based on the Zii platform but it looks like this time we might be right. A Zii Android phone is said to be coming this December. In fact creative has a special event planned in which such a device could be announced. The Zii EGG is apparently the smartphone in question:
The Zii EGG is an energy efficient handheld StemCell Computer based on the powerful ZiiLABS ZMS-05 media-rich applications processor. Besides its multi-touch 3.5-inch LCD screen, it can also output HD video at up to 1080p. The ZMS-05’s 24 floating-point processors deliver up to 8 GFLOPS of raw processing power, while the StemCell Computing’s flexible architecture allows stunning display of 3D graphics on a small handheld battery powered device. Release to end user will be around the October time frame.
We’re past October and we’re still waiting for the EGG. Will we see it soon? Naturally, we will be all over the Zii Android phone once it comes out of its secret shell, so stick around!

Is Sprint feeling Verizon’s blow when it comes to Android phones? The HTC Droid Eris sold by Verizon for $99.99 is basically a different HTC Hero version which also happens to be a lot cheaper.
But fear not, Sprint customers! Best Buy has decided to sell the HTC Hero for $99.99 thus matching Verizon’s offer. The price is available after instant discounts and with a new 2-year Sprint contract. What do you say? Does the Hero look interesting yet again? And just in case you forgot, the Hero will receive the Android 2.0 update at some point in the future so getting one, especially at $99.99 sounds like a very good choice.

Calling with mobile video has not really taken off, but a company called Saygus plans to release the VPhone V1, a video transmitting and receiving phone that runs on Android and will be available from Verizon.
Of course, the video transmission has to work with another VPhone, but perhaps it will be compatible with phones of the future. As it is, it has a 5 Megapixel camera, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, and 3.5-inch touchscreen. It should have four hours of video chatting, and seven hours of talk time.

In case you felt the need to purchase a netbook with built in AT&T 3G (aka willing to pay at least $35 a month for 200MB or $60 for 5GB) it was recently made known that the Samsung Go has hit the service.
The Samsung Go for AT&T will run you $199 after mail-in rebate and a 2 year contract as detailed above. Sure, you’ll get a 10-inch screen, Intel Atom processor, 160GB of HDD space, 1GB of RAM and a net book weighing under 3 pounds but the fact that it’s powered by Windows 7 Starter makes it less than enticing.
Then again, you can also opt for the Acer Aspire One with the same specs for the same price, also with Windows 7 Starter.

Now before you read on, make note that T-Mobile made an obvious mistake with their BlackBerry Bold 9700 listing, as you can see above, with the picture of the device getting mixed up.
Anyways, the Bold 9700 is now available from T-Mobile for $199.99 on a 2-year contract or $449.99 with no plan. This device features a 3.2MP camera, optical track pad (taking the place of the classic trackball) and Visual Voicemail.
Again, the device you see in the above picture is not the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and T-Mobile is expected to update the page any minute.
