Found in a rumors section of mobile-review.com’s forums, user Skylab posted up some 3d rendered images of a Nokia 8820concept. The phone seems to have a nice elegant touch to its slim slider design and luminous keypad. As always with newer updated models, the phone should be getting some newer, better features. What features should be expected from an updated Nokia 8800 phone? Maybe a larger screen, enhanced multimedia functions, tv-out connection, expandable memory slot, and/or GPS capabilities would be great additions?

Nokia recently has patented a few new innovation technologies for their cellphones. They have patented a display which allows any-direction display viewing. It uses an orientation sensor which allows users to flip around the display on the cellphones screen. Also patented is a gaming cellphone adaptor which uses a stylus that slides a phone to provide a gaming joystick. Maybe we will see these new ideas incorporated into future nokia phones sometime in the near future.

Since the introduction of the Apple iPhone on January the 9th, the world has gone touch pad crazy, touch pad technology is the way of the future and many companies have heard the call and made their own touch pad phones in direct competition with the iPhone. This is a top ten list of iPhone Competitors, some of the phones are the real deal, some are just concepts at the moment, all are cool.
1.
Coming in at Number 1 is the recently announced Samsung F700 ultra slim phone, answering the call early Samsung have come up with a splendid touch pad phone. Main features of the phone include a 5 megapixel camera, touch pad technology, impressive downloads speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and a cool slide out QWERTY Keyboard, which is something the iPhone is lacking. With their first deluge into touch pad phones Samsung seem to have hit a home run straight of the bat.
2.
The next touchphone coming in at a close Second is the LG KE850, this touch phone has actually been around for quite some time and is a smash hit in South Korea. It is widely believed amongst industry experts Apple based there design model around this phone. The phone features a 3-inch LCD touch screen display and 2 megapixel camera. The phone will be about $750. Any maybe available in Europe and America soon.
3.

At Number Three we see the Nokia Aeon Concept Phone. This phone is just a concept phone and not currently available to the consumer, it has been around for a very long time. Obviously Nokia was onto to touch phone technology from the very early stages, their long term research and studying into the technology, may see them if not in the form of the Aeon bring out a very advanced touch phone some time soon that will be available to consumers. If that happens you could probably elevated Nokia to Number Two iPhone competitor on this list.

Just a couple weeks ago, the nice folks at Nokia were kind enough to send us the new Nokia N800 Internet Tablet for review. While I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this device having never used anything Linux-based before, in the end I ended up becoming very attached to this little guy. Everyone I showed it to looked at it in awe, and after fiddling around with it themselves, each one said they’d love to have one for themselves.
The Nokia N800 internet tablet features a large 4.1-inch 800×480 touchscreen display, which displays both text and pictures very clearly. Other features of the tablet include WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, a mini-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphones jack. It runs off a 320Mhz TI CPU, and 128MB RAM, and includes 256MB of flash storage and two SD slots.
Alongside the top of the tablet is the on/off button, zoom buttons, and microphone. On the front of the Nokia on the left side next to the screen, is a a 5-way joypad as well as three other buttons - one for closing applications/windows, one for application menus, and another button for task switching. At the bottom of the tablet is a kickstand which folds out to prop up the device, which is great for watching videos on.

A workaholic ? Sick of lugging around your notebook ? Love Nokia? Then check out the new Nokia E65 handset which has a whole lot of business features to its credit without going the bulky way. The slider phone is just around 16mm thick which is not bad considering its comprehensive feature set.
The S60 3rd Edition smartphone has everything going for it and the fact that it supports both VoIP and Wi-Fi will make the Nokia fanboys all warm and fuzzy! The Nokia E65 can be used in up-to 5 continents thanks to its quad-band coverage (850/900/1800/1900) and the handset also supports Over The Air downloads. When it comes to connectivity, Nokia has thrown in pretty much everything and thus you come across; a Dual Transfer Mode (MSC 9), Bluetooth 1.2 wireless technology, a Pop-Port

Its kinda weird but out of all of today’s announcements I am most excited about one that’s just an update. I’m talking about the 3GSM World Congress 2007 and the Nokia E61i.
Yep that “i” means that this phone is an update to last year’s highly popular but weirdly sized E61 phone aimed at business users who need Blackberry like push email features and WiFi.
So What’s New?
Nokia says the Nokia E61i has a new refreshed sleek design. I checked its just 2.5mm thinner but it does look a whole lot better. It now has improved handling of attachments and what really makes it for me, an integrated 2 megapixel camera.
Everything else is pretty much the same. Quadband (EGSM 850/900/1800/1900) connectivity, Symbian S60 3rd Edition, Bluetooth and Infrared.
The Nokia E61i supports corporate mobile email solutions such as Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email, Good Mobile Messaging, Mail for Exchange, Seven Mobile Mail, and BlackBerry Connect as well as most popular consumer email solutions.
The E61i will be become available by the second quarter of 2007 for an unsubsidized retail price of 400 euros. It will be availble only in mocha (Nokia’s new black).

One thing Nokia does too well is designing different phones for different folks. So today during the 3GSP World Congress amongst the release of 4 other phones for business professionals and the uber savvy they also released one for the more budget conscious.
The Nokia 3110 a classic candybar triband phone that packs in a host of features at a great price. Expect nothing fancy, just the basic features (or at least what are now standard issue specs).
“Basic” features include a 1.3 megapixel camera, music player, FM radio and expandable memory. The phone also gets a USB port and Bluetooth connectivity for easy transfers of files to a PC. Nokia also boats of it being made from durable material (shouldn’t they all be) and increased battery life.
Of course this phone is also great for geeks like me who already carry along with them at least two phones but need an extra one for that other sim card lying around the house.
The phone will work on GPRS and EDGE networks. It is due for a release in the second quarter of this year. No pricing has been announced yet but we know it will only come in black.
