The Motorola Q Edge GSM version is set to be the star of the 3GSM expo next month,
at least that is what Motorola is banking on. Finally, those of us on GSM networks will be able to enjoy the device that Verizon customers have been privvy to for some time now. The one thing it won’t have, however, is the 3G radio that Verizon customers get.
The new version, however, will be available in black, unlike the Verizon silver edition. With the black outer color, the Motorola Q Edge smartphone looks strikingly similar to Samsung’s BlackJack smartphone.

Motorola has had a problem with leaks lately. Amongst the latest leaks are that Motorola is not giving up hope on the Motorola Q smartphone, and are working on the second-generation Motorola Q2 which will be released in both HSDPA and EV-DO versions. An official announcement about the Motorola Q2 is expected to come at the 3GSM next month.
The leaks came in the form of a presentation that Motorola executive Ron Garriques gave to investors. Sadly, no photos of the Motorola Q2 have yet surfaced. I am sure, however, that they will be lots of sightings at the big 3GSM conference in Europe in February.
