  • It looks like AT&T has sprung a very big leak and EngadgetMobile has slowly been revealing its future lineup for the rest of this year.  Fresh off the print is the LG GW600 HQ, a likely pair for the non-QWERTY aficionados.  The device sports a wide candybar style and has a 20-key layout akin to BlackBerry’s SureType, which would be a great alternative to Samsung Jack’s full QWERTY keypad.  Other specs also seem fine for a Windows Mobile 6.1 device including triband 3G, microSD expansion to 16GB, and a touchless 320×240 display.  AT&T has set July 6 as the date to unleash this smartphone, so if you haven’t bought the Jack already, you might want to wait it out a bit.

  • AT&T LG Monaco

One more slider is coming to AT&T and that’s the LG Monaco. Its specs include a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen, a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera, a full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, microSDHC support and HSDPA connectivity.

The Monaco sounds a lot better than the Pantech Aladdin doesn’t it? And the Monaco will come with a Pico projector and it will run Windows Mobile 7. That means you’ll probably have to wait about a year to get your hands on it.

  • Okay so maybe the following handsets are not the all the phones Rogers Wireless will launch this summer but they will surely be among the most popular: the LG Rumor 2, Sony Ericsson C905 and Xperia X1, HTC Dream and Magic and the new iPhone. Here they are:

    • LG Rumor 2 (Solo Mobile) — ETA: May 25th, outright: $160.00, 2-year contract: $75.00
    • Sony Ericsson C905 — ETA: May 19th (delayed), outright: $449.99, 3-year contract: $249.99 ($299.99 without Rogers Vision)
    • HTC Dream — ETA: June 2nd (limited quantity, availability will increase by June 12th), outright: $649.99, 3-year contract: $199.99
    • HTC Magic — ETA: June 2nd, outright: $649.99, 3-year contract: $199.99
    • Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 — ETA: June 30th (barring additional delays), outright: TBD ($649 - $749), 3-year: $299.99 (will launch at $249.99)
    • iPhone — ETA: unknown (July/August), outright: not allowed, 3-year: TBD

Unfortunately there’s no clear indication as when will the new iPhone arrive. Rogers will probably launch it around the same time the AT&T will for a similar price. What phone would you choose?

  • enV Touch to hit Verizon June 5th

Verizon Wireless has recently announced their intentions to launch the enV touch, formally known as the LG VX11000, on June 5th.

You’ll notice that this is just 1 day before Sprint is supposed to launch the June 6th, perhaps some competition is in line? Probably not considering the hype surrounding the Palm Pre pretty much blows this phone out of the water a.
Features of the enV Touch include:

    - 3″ internal display
    - 3″ external display
    - Full QWERTY and onscreen keyboards
    - 3.2MP camera
    - 3.5mm meadset jack
    - EVDO Rev A connectivity
    - microSDHC card slot
    - $149.99 after $70 mail in rebate and 2 year contract

  • The 8-megapixel shooter from LG has been doing its world tour for a while now, but with China’s homebrewn 3G network, the KC910’s 3G support would be pretty useless in the country.  Enter KC910E, a Renoir specially built for the Chinese market sans 3G, with only 2.5G or EDGE support.  Other than this major difference, the KC910E’s spec sheet is similar to that of its original with its high-end 8-megapixel camera with Xenon flash, a 3-inch touchscreen display, WiFi, Bluetooth, aGPS, and microSD expansion.

The LG KC910E is available in China for 3200 Yen (approx. $470).

Fractus is a Spanish company which you haven’t really gotten to know so far. Now it’s time for it’s moment of glory! Fractus has decided to sue not one, not two, but ten mobile phone manufacturers which apparently have infringed not one, not two, but nine different patents which concern internal antennas.

These manufacturers are: Samsung, LG Electronics, Research In Motion, HTC, Palm, Pantech, Sharp, Kyocera, Sanyo and UTStarcom. And Fractus is a company which holds more than 80 patents worldwide, 30 of them right in the United States. The suit was filed in the USA and we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next. Fractus’s lawyer said:

It is very brave of Fractus to fight against these cell phone companies, many of whom knew about Fractus and its technology yet still continued to infringe. Fractus’s inventions have added tremendous value to both the cell phone user and manufacturer.

We don’t know exactly how much envy this bulky texter will generate, but if it’s your kind of device, we have something blurry to show you.  The Verizon enV3, which was spy-shot last month, has now been pictured again, this time hangin at BGR with another unannounced device, the VX11000 (christened the enV Touch), a replacement for the already available LG Voyager.  We already know a fair bit about the enV3, and it looks like if you know the enV3, you already know the enV Touch too, as both the devices share a similar spec sheet, except for the touch-enabled external display.  As you can see from the picture, it has a QWERTY keypad and stereo speakers; hidden behind is a 3-megapixel camera, a 3.5mm headset jack, and a micrSD slot with support for up to 16GB.  No information from Verizon or LG on a release date but keep reading for some more fuzzy pics until they open up.

  • To celebrate their new found partnership, LG Electronics and fashion icon Heidi Klum held an exclusive event called LG Rumorous Night to celebrate style and their partnership around the latest handset, the LG Rumor2.

LG Rumor2, which is available exclusively through Sprint, symbolizes self expression at its best, with customizable back plates and a full QWERTY keypad. Heidi Klum, LG’s Ambassador of Style, lent her expertise to design five back plates that were showcased at the event. Guests were encouraged to follow in Heidi’s footsteps and create personalized back plates to reflect their own individual style through an online interactive canvas, which is available to everyone at www.LGRumor2.com.

Celebrities, stylists, industry professionals and fashionistas who embody the essence of style arrived at the Andaz Hotel in Hollywood, CA to walk the red carpet and attend the star studded event. Those in attendance included Heidi Klum, Christina Aguilera, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jamie Kennedy, Anna Faris, Peter Facinelli, Rosario Dawson, David Spade, January Jones, Christian Siriano and many more. Celebrity guests were adorned with custom Tattooed Steel bracelets that featured the signature butterfly design. Guests at the party checked out the custom back plates and celebrated a night devoted to style, beauty, imagination, and personal expression.

LG Rumor2, which is an updated version of one of our most popular messaging devices, the LG Rumor, was launched in March of 2009 and is exclusively available through Sprint.

The new designs will be unveiled alongside separate exhibits at the event which portray the essence of the designs.

In conjunction with this campaign, Heidi will also host eight webisodes, featuring aspiring fashionistas vying for the chance to win a seat at Heidi’s Style Council. • This might be just something else tossed at us from the rumor mill, but if we tell you that this little morsel of info was spotted coded onto LG’s own website, would that add some credibility to it? Well, may be it would.  The folks over at MobileSyrup did some diving on LG’s site and came across an xml document that is named “LG-GT500R-Rogers.xml,” which could  be a dead giveaway that the GT500R (R for Rogers?), which is scheduled for a T-Mobile opening this summer, will be hopping the Canadian boundary and end up with Rogers some time soon.  The specs may be a little bland for some, with its 5-megapixel camera, 3G support, GPS, and a 3-inch touchscreen display to name a few, but then, they aren’t such a big disappointment either.

Anybody care to wager who will get it first? Rogers or T-Mobile? Americans or Canadians?

    LG Cookie KX500 CDMA cellphone

They sure meant business when they said they wanted to sell 10 million of these babies and a CDMA version is a pretty good idea to reach that tantalizing milestone.  But before you Verizon and Sprint subscribers get your hopes up, the new LG Cookie KX500 CDMA will only be available in the Asian market for now, although we can’t entirely rule out the possibility that it will pop up in the United States in the future.  LG has carried over all the features that the KP500 is liked for, including the lovely 3-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, widget-based UI, and an accelerometer with support for CDMA 1x networks instead of GSM.

The LG Cookie KX500 is expected to go on sale starting at the end of May for approx. $276 in the Asia Pacific regions.

  • LG Rumor2 Coming Out in Style!

LG Electronics looks like they will put up the stakes as far as style is concerned for the LG Rumor2 as it has announced a partnership with fashion icon Heidi Klum. As part of the partnership, LG is unveiling personalized back plates for their recently released LG Rumor2, which is available exclusively through Sprint.

Heidi Klum, in her role as LG’s Ambassador of Style, lent her expertise to design five back plates and skins that express her personal style. Like Heidi, consumers can express their individual style and unique personalities by customizing their LG Rumor2.

The partnership includes an advertising campaign, online webisodes, and a consumer promotion. The eight webisodes will be hosted by Heidi Klum and will live on www.lgrumor2.com. • The GD900 is a phone you couldn’t have possibly missed. It’s a slider with a transparent keypad with multitouch support which we’ve seen around the Internet for a while now. LG hasn’t officially announced the phone for any market but it looks like Carphone Warehouse will bring the phone in the UK sometime in May. Or that’s what their website says so far. There aren’t any specific details so far but we will be watching this one for you. How much would you be willing to pay for it?
