09 Feb 10 A Taller iPhone 4G Perhaps?

A Taller iPhone 4G Perhaps?Nothing has been definite on the release of the iPhone 4G. There have been a lot of speculations on what it will come out with such as HD video support and some background applications. But now let us go a bit to the physical part of it. Rumors are flying that it will be taller than its previous iPhone brothers.

Some photos over at iResQ show a taller iPhone, about ¼ inches taller than the previous ones which measured 115m tall. Aside from that, it will have a reflective surface above the speaker and a LCD that is factory-glued to the digitizer. However, this is not yet the final design so don’t conclude just yet!

09 Feb 10 Apple Store Goes Offline

Apple Store Goes Offline

For some reason, the Apple Store has gone down globally, whipping up some hot rumors on the probable cause. Of course, sites are allowed to go down from time to time but the Apple Store? Well the rumors are flying and speculations are going like mad.

Some rumors include Refreshed MacBook Pros, iPonies (what?) and so on. Then again it could be nothing but what is the harm if you entertain a little bit of crazy ideas. Well the site is back up and nothing staggering has been found aside from the release of the Aperture 3 with faces and places tagging. So much for excitement!

08 Feb 10 Lion’s Pride for the iPhone and iPod Touch

lion_pride_iphoneOnce again, there is another free game for the iPhone and iPod Touch that I missed reporting on. First it was Valet Hero, now Lion’s Pride.

Lion’s Pride has nothing to do with that Siegfried and Roy Father of the Pride CG show that last only a handful of episodes on NBC. In Lion’s Pride, the player takes control of a pride of lions as they stalk their land and ambush prey.

It only costs $0.99 to download, so beat that! It’s almost free.

valet_heroFor those who have ever wanted to make it in Hollywood will now have their chance to start from the ground up with Valet Hero.

That’s right, feel free to park cars for the stars at “3 difficulty levels, 5 unique lots, and Open Feint integrations for achievements/leaderboards”. Just point and drag the car to park in the right spot.

The game was free yesterday, but sorry, I didn’t hear about it until today. But it only costs $1.99, but that ain’t much, is it?

06 Feb 10 Housekeeper iPhone app is better than a nagging wife

HouseKeeper_for_iPhone_270x404“Honey, did you change the water filters? Sweetie, did you check the smoke detector? Honey, did you…” You get the idea. If you have a home, then you know the necessity of maintenance.

Fortunately, this new Housekeeper app might be just what you need. All you need to do is enter the right activity (like the type that you see on the right), the date when it was last done, and you will receive a reminder via email or SMS message. Unfortunately, you can’t add on your own reminders.

Still, I think that $1.99 for this app could make my house more maintained is money will spent.

06 Feb 10 iPhone 4G Coming with HD Video Support?

n89codenameRumors on the coming of the iPhone 4G are still swirling and this time around HD video support is the latest rumored feature this Apple device will come with. The conclusion was made from a iPhone OS 3.2 SDK which seems to support the idea.

This is still unconfirmed though and knowing how people want to get the best of anything for future mobile devices, it can happen and does make sense if you consider how many surprises Apple has made through the years.

04 Feb 10 “Where is my Phone” app lets you find your iPhone on a whistle

thumb160x_wheresmyphoneRemember those keychains that would make a noise if you whistle loud enough? Those devices helped find a lot of keys back in the eighties, and it just makes sense to apply this tech to cellular phones, which get lost around the house all the time.

The Where is my iPhone app is made for just that, but the user can program the sound that the iPhone can make when he or she whistles. So, if you want your iPhone to make a flatulent sound on your whistle, you can do that.

Yeah, it’s a cheap gag, but “I’d buy that for a dollar”. In fact, that is exactly what it costs. About $0.99 cents to be exactly.
