We already knew about the pricing part and the fact that the HTC Pure is actually the Touch Diamond2 in AT&T garbs, but we lacked live pictures of the device.  HTCpedia now confirms the price as $149.99 (with a new contract and a $50 mail-in rebate) with a contract-free price of $349.99, and have a couple of pictures showing the Pure wrapped in snap-on and silicone cases.  The cases obscure most of its body but it is not that difficult to see a few tweaks in the design, like the rounded appearance of the upper and lower bezel, compared to Touch Diamond2’s straight-lined style. We still don’t have a release date for the HTC Pure, but keep coming back if you want to know.

  • We knew Cellular South was planning something Android for later this year, but we had no idea that it would be the HTc Hero, much less the same version that Sprint is going to get!  The CDMA Hero is not available yet on the carrier’s website but you can sign yourself up to be informed on when that happens, if you happen to be in its coverage area.  Cellular South users will be getting the same goodness as the Sprint users will, with a 5mpx cam, Sense UI to go with its 3.2-inch touchscreen display, aGPS, digital compass, and microSD expansion. Great handset, and if it comes as cheap as the Touch Diamond did last year, we are pretty sure Cellular South will have a lot of Android-happy customers. (more…)

  • AT&T has a few surprises for its subscribers. It looks like the company plans to launch brand new HTC and Garmin-Asus phones soon so we should definitely check them out.

AT&T will launch the HTC Touch Pro2 as the Tilt2 and the Touch Diamond2 as the Pure. The Tilt2 will cost $299.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with a 2-year contract while the Pure will cost $199 under the same circumstances. In case you’re not planning a new AT&T agreement then you can purchase the phones for the full price of $499.99 and $399.99, respectively.

The Garmin-Asus phone coming from AT&T is none other than the nuvifone G60. Believe it or not the phone is going to be sold soon for $299.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and with a 2-year contract or for $549.99.

We don’t have any release dates just yet, which means you have plenty of time to think about your next AT&T phone.

  • Go ahead and add this to the growing list of Windows phones that will be released on October 6th.  AT&Ters eagerly waiting for the Touch Pro2 should breathe a sigh of relief as BGR now has it on good authority that the device, called the Tilt 2 on AT&T, will be out the door on that much anticipated 6th day of October.  Yes, it is a bit late, seeing that the Pro2 is already available on Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint, but then AT&T subscribers will at least have Windows Mobile 6.5 out of the box, a kick in the teeth for the customers on other networks who will have to upgrade their devices to 6.5.

  • Ever wondered what an iPhone-like capacitive touchscreen would look like when coupled with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor? Well, now you can as PocketPT has recently put up a video showcasing the HTC Leo’s touchscreen capabilities which we’ve included for your viewing pleasure above.

While we don’t know exactly when the HTC Leo will be made available for purchase, its 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen, 5MP camera and 1GHz processor will definitely make it a more than viable competitor.

    Pictures of HTC Leo emerge

While we’ve seen specs and renders of the HTC Leo leak out we have yet to see the device in the flesh. Luckily, the Internet has gotten its hands on an actual pre production device and boy does it look pretty.

The HTC Leo is said to feature a 4.3 inch touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. As you can see, it’s also running a version of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.5.

Too bad we still don’t a solid release date for this device but, as always, we’ll keep you posted.

September 11 will not only remind you how many years have passed since those dreadful planes crashed into the towers and the Pentagon but it will also be the day when Verizon starts selling the HTC Touch Pro2.

The phone has been officially unveiled and it will cost you $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract. And in case you’re not sure what carrier to choose for your future HTC Touch Pro2 then let me remind you what Sprint’s and T-Mobile’s Touch Pro2 costs: $349.99. And in case you don’t want a new contract then Verizon will sell the phone for just $489.99. How does that sound?

Earlier today we let you know that HTC has officially announced the Tattoo; a small, Android powered touchscreen device. What we didn’t tell you, however, is that it features a resistive touchscreen as opposed to a capacitive as found in devices such as the iPhone and HTC Hero. But why would HTC choose a touchscreen that is much less favored than the other? Apparantly, because the screen is too small.

That’s right, according to HTC’s official twitter “capacitive screens at small sizes are hard to be accurate with. Resistive ends up registering fewer miss-clicks”. And with the HTC Tattoo’s screen measuring just 2.8-inches they may have a point.

    HTC Launches the Tattoo

After several name changes, HTC finally settled for one name to christen its handset with the launch of the HTC Tattoo. The new HTC device runs the Sense UI and features a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 3.5 mm headset jack and a MicroSD memory slot.

The HTC Tattoo is slated to be available initially by October in Europe. The device is expected to be available in other regions thereafter.

We already have a Touch2 and a Touch Pro2, it’s only logical for HTC to update its other high-end handset, the Touch HD.  And what an update it is going to be, as the company has many significant changes planned for the new handset, dubbed the Touch HD 2 for now.  According to RegisterHardware, the device will get a faster Qualcomm processor at 628MHz instead of the 528MHz that HTC usually employs in its flagship devices and surprisingly, ditching WinMobile 6.1 (and the upcoming 6.5) to go with Google’s Android.  What may not change is the gorgeous 3.8 inch 480×800 pixel display and the usual suite of features that the Touch HD sported.  So, will the change of OS finally guarantee a release stateside for the Touch HD 2?  Feel free to tell us in the comments sections if you think it will.

  • Besides Sprint, Best Buy is also going to offer you the HTC Hero and you might be better off buying one from the giant electronics provider. Best Buy will be Sprint’s exclusive partner for 60 days and the phone will be available starting with October 11. The phone will cost you just $179.99 with a 2-year new Sprint contract. The best thing about this price is the fact that Best-Buy is willing to waive that $100 mail-in rebate while Sprint will still keep it.

And the phone is unofficially available for pre-order from Best Buy. Some Best Buy locations will let you pre-pre-order for a $50 deposit. Official pre-orders will start in about a week so you’ll be able to purchase your HTC Hero soon.

  • It seems that HTC is gearing up to launch their Touch2 (not to be confused with the Touch Pro2) handset on October 6th of this year.

We haven’t heard much about this phone but it’s said to run Windows Mobile 6.5 with the TouchFLO UI, feature a touchscreen,  a re imagined Internet Explorer Mobile, Microsoft Exchange Support and a new service from HTC called My Phone which will let users sync contacts, text messages, photos and more via the web for free.

There’s absolutely no word on what market the Touch2 will land in first but it’s coming, and soon.

HTC Snap hits Alltel at $79.99

It was recently made known that the HTC Snap is now available on Alltel for $79.99 after a $70 rebate and a 1-year contract.

For those not familiar with this phone it features Windows Mobile 6.1, WiFi, 3G, QWERTY keyboard, 2.0 mp camera with digital zoom, stereo Bluetooth, 256MB of built in storage and a microSD slot for up to 32GB of additional storage.

As all of you Android users already know, the Android Market isn’t the most attractive app store available today, but that all may change soon enough

The above screen shot was sent to CNET from an anonymous tipster who says the new Android Market look will make its first appearance in Donut. The fact that it is to appear in Donut raises the question over whether or not the T-Mobile G1 will see the new design as it was said the device will not be getting updates past Cupcake.

As of now this is far from confirmed but from the looks of it it looks pretty legit. The fact that it

We only just reported that Verizon is gearing up to launch the Storm 2, Sholes and vx8575 next month and already reports of another handset for the carrier have surfaced. This time, it’s the Android powered HTC Desire which we’ve heard absolutely nothing about until now.

News of the HTC Desire comes to us from a leaked screen shot of Verizon’s handset where it shows the handset’s model number to be 6200 along with the word GOOGL. This most likely means the device will have a with Google branding on the back resulting in no Sense UI.

We’ll keep you updated as more news regarding the HTC Desire 6200 is made known.

  • Supposed HTC Hero 2 spotted

The Hero is one of HTC’s most coveted phones, featuring a beautiful touchscreen display and most importantly Sense UI. So, it would only make sense that the company would then go on to produce an HTC Hero 2, of sorts, right?

Well, what you see above may be just that as 8080.net claims it is a device that recently found its way through the FCC called the Hero200. Of course, we have no official confirmation but you can clearly see that it’s running the Sense UI but where is the Jay Leno chin?
