September 11 will not only remind you how many years have passed since those dreadful planes crashed into the towers and the Pentagon but it will also be the day when Verizon starts selling the HTC Touch Pro2.
The phone has been officially unveiled and it will cost you $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract. And in case you’re not sure what carrier to choose for your future HTC Touch Pro2 then let me remind you what Sprint’s and T-Mobile’s Touch Pro2 costs: $349.99. And in case you don’t want a new contract then Verizon will sell the phone for just $489.99. How does that sound?

Earlier today we let you know that HTC has officially announced the Tattoo; a small, Android powered touchscreen device. What we didn’t tell you, however, is that it features a resistive touchscreen as opposed to a capacitive as found in devices such as the iPhone and HTC Hero. But why would HTC choose a touchscreen that is much less favored than the other? Apparantly, because the screen is too small.
That’s right, according to HTC’s official twitter “capacitive screens at small sizes are hard to be accurate with. Resistive ends up registering fewer miss-clicks”. And with the HTC Tattoo’s screen measuring just 2.8-inches they may have a point.

After several name changes, HTC finally settled for one name to christen its handset with the launch of the HTC Tattoo. The new HTC device runs the Sense UI and features a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 3.5 mm headset jack and a MicroSD memory slot.
The HTC Tattoo is slated to be available initially by October in Europe. The device is expected to be available in other regions thereafter.

We already have a Touch2 and a Touch Pro2, it’s only logical for HTC to update its other high-end handset, the Touch HD. And what an update it is going to be, as the company has many significant changes planned for the new handset, dubbed the Touch HD 2 for now. According to RegisterHardware, the device will get a faster Qualcomm processor at 628MHz instead of the 528MHz that HTC usually employs in its flagship devices and surprisingly, ditching WinMobile 6.1 (and the upcoming 6.5) to go with Google’s Android. What may not change is the gorgeous 3.8 inch 480×800 pixel display and the usual suite of features that the Touch HD sported. So, will the change of OS finally guarantee a release stateside for the Touch HD 2? Feel free to tell us in the comments sections if you think it will.

Besides Sprint, Best Buy is also going to offer you the HTC Hero and you might be better off buying one from the giant electronics provider. Best Buy will be Sprint’s exclusive partner for 60 days and the phone will be available starting with October 11. The phone will cost you just $179.99 with a 2-year new Sprint contract. The best thing about this price is the fact that Best-Buy is willing to waive that $100 mail-in rebate while Sprint will still keep it.
And the phone is unofficially available for pre-order from Best Buy. Some Best Buy locations will let you pre-pre-order for a $50 deposit. Official pre-orders will start in about a week so you’ll be able to purchase your HTC Hero soon.

It seems that HTC is gearing up to launch their Touch2 (not to be confused with the Touch Pro2) handset on October 6th of this year.
We haven’t heard much about this phone but it’s said to run Windows Mobile 6.5 with the TouchFLO UI, feature a touchscreen, a re imagined Internet Explorer Mobile, Microsoft Exchange Support and a new service from HTC called My Phone which will let users sync contacts, text messages, photos and more via the web for free.
There’s absolutely no word on what market the Touch2 will land in first but it’s coming, and soon.

As all of you Android users already know, the Android Market isn’t the most attractive app store available today, but that all may change soon enough
The above screen shot was sent to CNET from an anonymous tipster who says the new Android Market look will make its first appearance in Donut. The fact that it is to appear in Donut raises the question over whether or not the T-Mobile G1 will see the new design as it was said the device will not be getting updates past Cupcake.
As of now this is far from confirmed but from the looks of it it looks pretty legit. The fact that it

We only just reported that Verizon is gearing up to launch the Storm 2, Sholes and vx8575 next month and already reports of another handset for the carrier have surfaced. This time, it’s the Android powered HTC Desire which we’ve heard absolutely nothing about until now.
News of the HTC Desire comes to us from a leaked screen shot of Verizon’s handset where it shows the handset’s model number to be 6200 along with the word GOOGL. This most likely means the device will have a with Google branding on the back resulting in no Sense UI.
We’ll keep you updated as more news regarding the HTC Desire 6200 is made known.

The Hero is one of HTC’s most coveted phones, featuring a beautiful touchscreen display and most importantly Sense UI. So, it would only make sense that the company would then go on to produce an HTC Hero 2, of sorts, right?
Well, what you see above may be just that as 8080.net claims it is a device that recently found its way through the FCC called the Hero200. Of course, we have no official confirmation but you can clearly see that it’s running the Sense UI but where is the Jay Leno chin?

We knew it was coming since everyone else will also sell this handset but we didn’t know the date. Now we do! The HTC Touch Pro2 will be available in Sprint stores starting with September 8. And we have the price for it too. If you’re willing to spend $349.99 and get yourself a new 2-year Sprint contract you’ll be able to take home a brand new Windows Mobile phone from HTC. And when you get your budget in order for the big event make sure you think about that extra $100 you’ll have to pay since, as always, there’s a $100 mail-in rebate. So what do you say? Have you decided which carrier to approach for the HTC Touch Pro2?

Those on Verizon anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Palm Pre may not have much longer to wait. What you see above is a leaked screenshot taken of Verizon’s inventory database. As you can see, the item description displays PALM P101 SMTPHNE, could this possibly be the Palm Pre? It would make sense considering Sprint’s Palm Pre codename is the P100.
Additionally, screenshots were also found display phones such as the PALM 121 (Eos?), BlackBerry Storm 2, HTC TouchPro2 and Samsung Omnia II.

It’s no secret anymore that Sprint is going to launch the HTC Hero at some point in the future. And we also know that the hot Android phone is going to be available for purchase in Best Buy stores once it becomes official.
What we didn’t know is that Best Buy is apparently getting ready to offer the phone for pre-order. According to Best Buy’s internal system the Hero will be available for pre-sale starting with September 13. Nothing is official yet but if the image here is to be believed, we might see the HTC Hero in Sprint stores by the end of September.

Earlier today various screenshots of the UI found within HTC’s Mega hit the webs. Now, live shots of the phone have too been leaked thanks to ai.rs. As you can see, the phone looks exactly like what it did in the renders we saw earlier this month.
The Mega is said to feature q Qualcomm 528Mhz processor, a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen, WCDMA/HSDPA/quad-band GSM, a 3.2MP camera, microSD slot, WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0.
Now we’ll just need to wait until an official announcement is made about a carrier for the HTC Mega.

We have more leaked stuff for you and this time we’re looking at HTC Mega screenshots. The Mega will be a mid-ranged Windows Mobile phone and while the phone hasn’t been officially launched yet we can already take a look at HTC’s vision of Windows Mobile 6.5. And since we have seen earlier Samsung’s WinMo 6.5 approach for the Omnia II, which version will you rather own? What would you choose between a Samsung and an HTC Windows Mobile 6.5 phone?

As far as the avid followers of the HTC Hero is concerned, rarely would anyone expect that it would come out in pink. Presumptions were that the red color would come out but surprise, surprise, a soft pink version of the HTC Hero came out at MoDaco.
Color preference seems to be a no-brainer but we have seen the HTC Hero come out in standard colors such as white which is available worldwide and the darker colored versions released by T-Mobile. The pink version is reportedly an exclusive over at Mobiles.co.uk so for mobile phone addicts (particularly the females) that is the only place where you may possibly get it.
