This is just an early rumor with absolutely no confirmation whatsoever from HTC or anybody else, but the Fiesta is said to be another Google phone made by HTC.

The Android phone will supposedly be available in Asia, Europe and North America but we have no clue about its features. The Android phone has been found in the Bluetooth SIG so it will at least have Bluetooth support. We won’t mind if you happen to have more information on the Fiesta! Just send it over right away!

April 21 will bring us an important Bluetooth 3.0 announcement but that’s not the only thing we should be paying attention to. T-Mobile has also scheduled an event of its own on the very same date. Will we see the second Android smartphone officially emerge? We’ve seen the weird names T-Mobile has been testing for the HTC Magic and on April 21 we might find out more about all that. But what if the Magic is not what T-Mobile is announcing? Unfortunately the event isn’t public bur rather private. New York is where you should be if you to attend it. We’ll give you all the hot information once we know more ourselves.

  • It should be if we go by the listing put up by Expansys recently.  But considering the fact that the HTC Touch Diamond2 is slated for a European and Taiwanese release this month, it wouldn’t be unwise for HTC to stagger the UK release date of the QWERTY-toting Touch Pro2 by two months.  A price has also been revealed and the Touch Pro2 will cost £519.9 and antsy Diamond fans can preorder it to receive it by the promised June 5th.

  • Keeping in line with the April release date in Europe, HTC has now announced that the Touch Diamond2 will land on Taiwanese soil around the same time in the second half of April 2009. We have gone over the specs many times now but for the unaware, the Touch Diamond2 is a followup to HTC’s hugely successful Touch Diamond and has a gorgeous 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera, GPS receiver, WiFi, and runs Windows Mobile 6.1 with TouchFLO 3D UI on top. It is powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm processor aided by 512MB ROM and 288MB of RAM.

As of now, the HTC Touch Diamond2 will retail for a suggested price of NT$21,900 (approx. $647) when it appears in Taiwan later this month, which is similar to the rumored $640+ price tag for the European market.

From what we know so far, the HTC Magic is the G2 and Huawei Android phone will be the G3 when it comes to T-Mobile USA Android phones. But is it really so? Check out the pictures for yourself!

It seems that the G2 will be in fact the G3 or the myTouch 3G with Google or the Genius 3G with Google or the Prism 3G with Google. So what’s the matter with the G2? What phone will get the G2 moniker? And what about that Huawei device? Will it be the G4 or how does it all works? Does anyone from T-Mobile care to explain?

T-Mobile is prepared to offer more phones in the following months. The most interesting handsets so far are the HTC Snap and the Touch Pro2 or the Wing II which will arrive in July: the Snap on the 1st while the Wing II will make its appearance on the 22nd. So far nothing is certain but all we need is a rumor to start dreaming about our favorite phones anyway.

Besides these two beauties, T-Mobile has other surprises for you. The Sony Ericsson “CS8?” which could be the C905 is set to arrive on June 24. The Sidekick Blade is scheduled to arrive on May 13. Last but not least, we have a few Samsung cell phones: T469 and T559 will arrive on July 15, T749 on July 22, T659 on August 19.

We’ll be digging for more details since we don’t have all the facts about some of the models here and we’ll get back to you with the updates.

    Zeemote works on Android too!

Sony Ericsson liked it.  Nokia loved it so much that they started shipping it with some of their phones.  Now, it seems that the even the Android-powered HTC G1 can’t resist the powers the Zeemote JS1, that wireless Bluetooth controller we told you about which has been slowly gaining attention.  The video below shows just a demo of its prowess, not really a game that the JS1 is capable of handling, but this should give a glimmer of hope to Androiders of games that will actually be fun to play with this thingy.

    HTC Magic delayed?

If you’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of the HTC Magic, successor to the HTC Dream or T-Mobile G1, you are in for some potentially bad news.

Pocket-lint has recently recieved the following statement from HTC themselves:

“We are delighted with the interest that the HTC Magic has received since its launch with Vodafone at Mobile World Congress 2009. We are confident that Vodafone’s customers will be delighted with the HTC Magic in spite of a short delay due to a last minute hardware change”.

Don’t get too upset as this delay could mean only a few days added onto the release date considering the Vodaphone pre-order page still has it up for an April street date.

  • HTC Rhodium Goes to the FCC

HTC is ready to launch the Touch Pro2 as the phone has finally hit the FCC. Just in case you are wondering the HTC Rhodium which you’ll find at the FCC is the Touch Pro2. And the Rhodium might be called the Wing II when T-Mobile will launch it soon. The release date hasn’t been revealed yet and there aren’t any prices announced yet. Look for RHOD100 if you want to see the progress of the phone with the FCC and we’ll be keeping tabs on the Touch Pro2 since it’s going to be one of the first smartphones out there capable of running Windows Mobile 6.5.

  • I guess some of you folks are waiting the second Diamond, a Windows Mobile able to run Windows 6.5 when it comes out. In case you’re waiting for it in Europe, you will be happy to know that HTC will launch the HTC Touch Diamond2 in Europe sometime in the middle of next month. T-Mobile Germany will probably be the first carrier to offer both the Touch Diamond2 and the Touch Pro2 in the first half of the year. According to rumors the HTC Touch Diamond2 will sell for $600 but we definitely need more info on that.

Are you really anxious to see Microsoft’s Windows Marketplace in action? Microsoft has decided to put together this video here to showcase their upcoming app store. Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary here. We will have tons of apps to choose from. We will be able to rate them, browse through them and buy the ones we like straight from our Windows phone. After downloading them we’ll also be able to ask for a full refund if we’re not exactly happy with them. How convenient, right?

And that’s about it. Microsoft’s Marketplace isn’t amazing in any way yet. We’ll be waiting for the official launch for more information. At least we enjoyed that HTC handset which got some free publicity out of this video.

    Android Phone

T-Mobile G-1. Nearly all the hype, all the excitement of the iPhone minus multi-touch (but with copy-paste, thankyouverymuch) and presented here in all its glory.

We at MobileWhack got hold of the HTC/Google G-1 mobile phone a couple of weeks ago thanks to the guys over at PureMobile. I have been playing with it during these few days and, while it falls a tad short of the iPhone, it’s an impressive first version that I suspect was intended more for the geeks out there than ordinary folks. After all, the geeks are the ones that wouldn’t mind carrying a bricky 5.6 oz phone as long as they get to show it off - you know what I mean.

I am very happy with the display: while slightly smaller than the iPhone’s, this is obviously the way of the future for phones and there’s no doubt about it.

    Initial Setup
The Google phone requires a Google account before you can do anything - including activate the phone on T-Mobile. Since I wasn’t technically on their G-1 plan (which is a 3G/EDGE package with 400 messages/month), I could not, for some reason, activate the phone immediately, so I had to call in for support from T-Mobile. I didn’t realize the problem immediately and it took a couple of days before I had to give up. Once activated, you get to the main screen, which by default shows 4 icons: “Dialer”, “Contacts”, “Browser” and “Maps” - in that order. That sets the priorities just about right.

Importing contacts was simply flawless. I exported my Windows Address Book (which is where your iPhone/Nokia/BlackBerry contacts go if you don’t have Outlook or something like that on Windows) onto a file, uploaded it onto my newly created Google account and voila - within a short time all contacts were imported. As with any Google account, you get not only Gmail but a ton of other products like Calendar, Docs and so on.

  • HTC G2 Gets the FCC Approval

That hot HTC G2 phone has been blessed with the FCC approval. The U.S. version of the Magic will come with 1700/2100MHz band of HSPA, WiFi with UMA for Hotspot@Home, a 5 megapixel camera instead of the previously announced 3.2 megapixel version and all the other specs we’ve seen in its Vodafone brethren. Don’t expect us to tell you when the G2 is actually coming or how much it’s going to cost as neither the FCC nor HTC have leaked any such details. Maybe the upcoming CTIA will reveal more info.

HTC Touch Pro2 Coming to T-Mobile?

According to a leaked ROM from the xda-developers, the Touch Pro2 or the Rhodium is going to come to T-Mobile soon. The ROM is made for a device called RHOD21000, with the CID of T-MOB010 and it has a target language listed as “USA”. The ROM has support for Windows Mobile 6.1 and 6.5 and it’s going to offer apps like Facebook, YouTube, Opera, Teeter, MyFaves and more. What do you think T-Mo fans? Ready for an HTC Touch Pro2? Or are you more interested in the HTC Diamond2?

That first Android device, the HTC Dream has arrived in Italy and it’s going to be available from TIM. The phone will be offered for free for a contract but just in case you want to keep things simple you can also get it with a prepaid contract and it will cost you €429 or around $583. Would you be willing to pay that much for the G1 when the G2 is supposed to come out soon?

For mobile geeks aching to get their hands on an HTC TouchPro 2, here is your chance as there is one available at eBay. There is one being held up for grabs and is being sold for $899.

WMPowerUser spied it when it had a “But it now” price of $899, but it looks like it’s been relisted and will now see how high the price will go by 11 p.m. EST March 27.

The top bid was $475. But before you throw your bid in the ring, do note that while this is an unlocked GSM phone, it only has the 3G radio bands used outside the U.S. So if you are looking for this phone and you want to get your hands on one that is unlocked at that, check it out.
