The HP iPaq 510 Voice Messenger phone that was announced at 3GSM? Well, it got FCC’s approval as well. We have already seen a few important details about the phone, like for example it runs Windows Mobile 6.0 and has a pathetic 1.3 megapixel camera.
An interesting piece of info about the iPaq 510 Voice Messenger is that it cannot be used for simultaneous operation of WLAN and GSM/GPRS transmitters. Suppose you are connected to a WLAN and you get a GSM phone call, the phone automatically shuts down the WLAN mode.
If you try to use the WLAN function - no go, it’s just plain blocked. Now that the device has been approved, it may arrive earlier than expected. No word on the pricing, though.
